  4. Something I discovered about magic and physical class

    Unfortunately Magic Suppression is pretty much the only monster stat that can be easily data mined from the data files. (Magic boost is in there too, but basically almost every monster in the game have 0 MB) For other stats such as magic resist, strike resist, spell resist must be experimentally tested in-game which is a very slow process... Some big damage sorcerer skills have reduced critical probability. Examples include Aetherflame (50%), Storm Strike (50%) Glacial Shard (70%). I have not extensively tested this property yet, but it appears to reduce your crit strike/crit spell to this percentage before enemy Strike Resist is applied. (Final critical chance cannot exceed 50%)
  5. Power/Attack manastones and ranger

    For focused shots, it multiplies your Pre-defense damage by 1.3 when using attack skills (i.e. not auto attacks!). The effect is greatest when using skills with big damage bonus like Lethal Arrow and Ripthread Shot (+2612 damage for both). Where: Pre-defense damage = Total weapon damage * (power / 100 + damage % skills) + additive attack + skill damage Total weapon damage = weapon base damage + weapon and armor enchant damage + power shards

    Aion 5.0 exp chart Ragnarok Online (renewal) exp chart Ragnarok Renewal's exp curve is much shallower than Aion 5.0's, but that means your exp gain is much slower at early levels. Also monsters only give couple thousands of exp each before server exp events and battle manuals (basically exp amulets in Aion). So players had to mob up huge groups of monsters and blow them up with spammable AOE skills. In Ragnarok Renewal, the character is like this: Novice -> 1st class -> promote at job 40-50 -> 2nd class -> transcend at level 99, job 50 -> 1st transcendent class -> promote at job 50 -> 2nd transcendent class -> promote at level 99, job 70 -> 3rd class -> level 175 At Ragnarok's launch, level cap was 99. With transcendant class launch, level 99 character can rebirth, then level to 99 again with increased exp requirements. With renewal, 1st and 2nd (transcendent) exp requirement was greatly reduced, massive change to game mechanics (including exp system and monster stats). Level cap increased to 150 with 3rd class. Renewal also severely limited up where players can level, due to exp penalty applied against low level monsters (particularly if monster is 21+ levels below you). So with renewal there are so few places worthwhile to level up. Some later update, level cap was raised to 175.

    Lethal Arrow is one of the two Ranger attack skills that have reduced PvP damage (80% of normal). The skill PvP multiplier is applied at final step of calculation, after physical/magical defense.

    Currently (5.0-5.8) it takes 212,018,420,019,754 to get from level 1 to 99. But nobody can even hit level 76 now. We will wait and see how will the exp chart be revamped for 6.0. Just please don't lock things up to require reaching level cap (blood mark quests in 4.x, elemental transforms in 5.x)...

  12. Something I discovered about magic and physical class

    It has to do with the way how skill damage bonus calculation works. For magical skills your base skill damage gets multiplied by your Net MB. For physical skills, the skill damage is added to your total attack damage. Simplified skill damage formula before applying enemy defenses (lots of multiplicative modifiers omitted): Magic: skill damage * (knowledge / 100 + Net MB / 1000) Physical: Total weapon damage * (power / 100 + damage % skills) + additive attack + skill damage Where: Net MB = Your MB - enemy MS, minimum 0, maximum depends on version (3200 as of 5.6) Total weapon damage = weapon base damage + weapon and armor enchant damage + power shards
  13. Which leveling era you perfer most

    I think exp requirement for level 71 and below needs to be significantly raised. People are leveling far too quickly for the content out there, and gear are always falling behind from their level gains. Restore level cap back to the original 99. Keep the exp chart for level 72-99 as is. One time campaign quests need to have rewards revamped to be endgame revelant. Remove all level-based penalities such as attacking higher level monsters. Buff all low level mobs. Remove all passive magic resist chance against higher level targets, particularly in PvP. Disable all 75+ elemental transforms in PvP instances. Allow unlimited level reductions on high level gears. The higher the reduction amount the lower success chance should be.

    It takes about 6.3 regular stones to make a shining stone. For attempt of combining 1000 enchantment stone dusts, there is a 5% chance that the combination result will be a shining stone. For the rest of the 95% that are regular enchantment stones, keep on repeat aetherforging them back into dusts and recombine them. So if that skill is not a damage dealing skill or is a pve instance only skill than this value is meaningless.   21. Chanter group play should go dps or support ?

    If there is a cleric in your group you bring only Word of Inspiration (the red stigma) as your support skill, and the rest should be filled with DPS stigmas. Your cleric will not need any of your support skills. Also, each time before using Promise of Earth / Pledge of Earth, temporary increase it to +8, cast it, then remove that skill's CP back to your previous settings. The bonus will stay for 30 minutes or until dispelled.

The tooltip will never show the skill's true base damage because of that. Unenchanted Break Power deals +3100 damage. Does not take into account that incoming attacks can crit on you, but Reroute Power never crits. 1300 defense deficit means. assuming 200 Strike Fortitude (0.18x crit strike reduction) 276 increased damage when dagger crits on you 197.6 increased damage when staff crits on you
