    The Service Error issue is now happening for me.  I got d/c'd and then got the Service Error box, and am unable to get past it.  I get two separate error codes (I guess?), "-1" and "3325"

    When it comes to user experience, this is the best thing to have. Imagine being inside an instance (PVP or not) and you get a disconnect and now you have to go all the way back to the launcher, hit the start button, wait until the client loads, get into the character screen, put your pin and hope you are back on time.

  2. It is a new NCLauncher 2 feature, they keep trying to implement more things on the already faulty launcher and break it even more.

    As the other person said, hit escape button to close that red text window and hit "start game" button again, it might take a few tries but it will eventually log.

    There is another message that can appear in the username and password window prior to what you show in the image. You need to do the same thing, keep trying until it eventually logs.

    We need to get rid of launchers, they do not offer anything good or convenient, only extra steps with extra error waiting to happen! We should also adopt what EU has for their client, if the client gets disconnect, you do not need to close the client, there is a button that says "reconnect" and it tries reconnects right on spot so you do not need to relaunch a new client from scratch. It is as if NA tries their best to bring the worst case user experience possible.

  3. I am going to congratulate NCWest for finally fixing the BCM 401 error that kept happening for months! It no longer happens one after we are logged in which required us to close the client and reopen it, which made it work for another hour until it would bug again.

    That seems to be the case, they increase the timer of sacred Relic by way too much at the beginning of the 8.3 to be sure but no matter how long it takes them to put bring out 8.4, the sacred Relic would still be active.

    But this created a big problem to all of us now, I'm not going to invest in any sacred Relic season ever again, I'll take your word on that for granted, the season is 2, 3 or 4 months or something.

    Why would you rely on that timer when they've already shown us how easy they can change it (multiple times)?

    And sorry for the double post, a ton of people were mislead by this and did the Relic because of that timer. I have friends who invested in more than 1 characters because of the timer.

    Yes they change things here and there but we cannot stop participating in the game because every information there is is potentially fake and can "change". What are we supposed to do, take for granted every timer or item or information or number in the client is by default fake because NCWest cannot be trusted?

  6. I have an update and it is equally weird like the previous week.

    So this Wednesday I log in and see this image on Catastrophic Arrow fresh without doing any quest yet!
    As you can see the completion bar and the Attempts are glitched, but the reward information shows the first attempt rewards.

    I did 4x Catastrophic quests (camp 2 Asmodian, Chests on Elyos base and 2x quests on Camp 9 Asmodian), the bar went full and I claimed the first reward (I forgot to take screenshots on that). The bar does move when you make quests and the Attempts now show 1/0.
    But as you see with 0 quests into the next Attempt, it still shows the 1st Attempt rewards.

    Then I did one last Catastrophic quest (Camp 5 Asmodian), the bar went one more quest on and now it shows the 2nd attempt's rewards in the info.

    P.S. I just hit level 5 in Blackfang, so I can enjoy one more Attempt on it this week before the hard reset! Isn't this game great :D

    I have no clue what these days are showing that you mention, the sacred relic didn't reset in every mini patch.

    The timer was always there and it was always kinda accurate. How could I know the timer was a placebo only? And if the timer is there then it shows that they tricked us, here we are asking for a solution to this. I am not going to do the next season no matter the amount of days it says because I do not trust them on this unless they specifically come here on forums and tell us the exact days it can last or if they tell us "it might change" so we know.

  8. So I am about to hit level 5 in all legions and finally be able to get a 3rd 4/4 reward on quests (even though I couldn't always do all quests), and right about now we are getting another name reset!!!

    But suddenly the Catastrophic Arrow went level 6 yesterday and something weird happened in the UI.

    First this is how the UI looks when you are at level 5 (and did all 3x 4/4 rewards):

    When I hit level 6 and did 3 quests I saw that the UI is kinda bugged. Not only the Attempts went from 3/0 to 2/0, but also the bar says "Complete" yet it still counted those 3 quests I just did.

    When I finished a total of 4 quests since I hit renown level 6, the bar went full and the "Claim Reward" button became activated, I claimed it and I got once again the final 3/3 reward (the XP and the FS box).

    Now the UI shows again "Attempts 3/0" (like the level 5 UI does) and the bar doesn't move when I do more quests for this week of course.

    I assume going to level 6 gives you 4x the rewards on 4/4. I'll wait to see what happens in the new week when I reach that point again. It sucks that right when we are about to start getting some XP from those 4/4 rewards we are getting a hard reset again.

  9. Then I guess me not logging into classic for like 1,5 years (I stopped playing like 2~3 weeks after launch) put that char on idle mode, I have 13 chars in retail and 1 in classic and I have no issues. If I ever log into that it might activate the problem to me too.

  10. Excuse you the information on sacred relic is utterly misleading, you made a ton of people do the relic system because the info made it look like it would last for a whole year since it was implemented!

    I personally didn't finish the first season because it was expensive for the little time it would last and I decided to sell the materials on broker. In this patch when I saw that the relic system would last a year, one holy water would go up to 70m in the beginning but I was like "let me spend 20 billion on 300 relics so I get that 300 m.attack for a whole year and all the other goodies". It is a scam, this is the shortest relic season so far.

    I know many people who did the relic for the same reason, that it would worth the investment for the period of time it would last. A friend of mine did a ton of work to do this on a total of 3 of her chars.

    Someone needs to tell those developers that resetting the apsaranta renown levels and the relics system at every single mini patch is not an update but a downgrade!

    Whoever thought about removing lugbug needs to stop making decisions on this game.

    The maximum amount of characters you can have is 13 on retail, if your account is free you can make up to 8, if you put Prestige you can get to 13 and if your prestige runs out you can keep those 13 characters. So no just because you don't have Prestige doesn't mean you need to delete characters and go back to 8.

    But since you mentioned that you have five characters on classic on the same account there might be a collision, there shouldn't be a collision but most likely that's the case. You should contact the support and ask them about it and also request them to restore those deleted characters because you deleted them thinking that this would solve your problem and it didn't.

    I personally have 13 characters on retail on my main account and I also have one character on classic on the exact same account but I have no issues.

    I haven't tested it lately but previously to remove a skill from item you had to put another item with a skill to overwrite the previous skill, so if you only put an appearance skin it would not remove the skill.

    We did try that in the past and it worked like that, but I'm not sure it is still like this so be careful.

Another new one also introduced is killing mobs that are fighting shugo npcs to get 2 items to combine. That one is easy although for new players killing those mobs will take very very long. But this game doesn't get new players so meh I guess.

    I assume the reason got harder to farm apsa is due to the fact NCsoft doesn't want people to get insanely geared too fast... but then again put almost no limitations during paragon events which has thrown the unbalances issues out of proportion 
    And ill be honest with you the first week of 8.2 I noticed it was harder to flip sites and get the renown increased I only worried about getting at least 2 turn ins per week and that's it :v

    The quests are indeed slightly different, but the routine is the same.

    As for making it harder they simply ended making it harder for soloers, small groups or ungeared people. Because those are the ones that suffer exclusively from camp flipping being impossible.

    I wanted to do all the quests both to level renown and to get more XP and the quest rewards which are rather good. But I find myself leaving the maps (and the game eventually) every time I go to apsaranta and see the whole map green and only 3~4 asmodians on the map that are either afk on base or auto-hunt somewhere.

    I simply replied to you saying that resetting the legions in Apsaranta is a means of renewing the quests so we do not feel bored doing the same things. The only thing that changes is the names, nothing else. also since 6.0 the one and only thing that pve is about is doing yet anoteh PF run... it has been like what 4 years now simply making the instance harder just to put higher rewards or whatever.

    The first time we got these legion quests we would get +1 reward for 4/4 quests for every level. I had more than 20 of them to return and flipping a camp was much easier.

    Now not only they limit the amount of rewards we can have and make the camp flipping impossible for solo or small un-geared groups, but right before we manage to reach a good level they go resetting them again.

    I, as an Asmodian, can't even do all quests every time they are available because Apsaranta is constantly green and many camps nearly never flip to asmodian. I was about to make level 5 more than 1 legions and here we are at 8.4 resetting this once again!

    Killing 30 monsters this camp or the other camp, or destroying 10 or 15 or 20 bombs/crates, or killing this/that named monster in any camp has been the same formula since apsaranta was implemented.

    Lugbug has been one of the very few successful things ever implemented into the game and now they remove it.

    1. Deleted Lugbug’s mission.

    2. The NPC Lost Lugbug/Lugbug no longer appears in the following locations: a. Red Katalam b. Dumaha c. Lakrum

    3. Grinning Lugbug no longer appears at the end of the Fortress Battle

    This is the 3rd time they are changing names, every time it sucks we have to go back to level 1 and start over for 4/4 quests rewards.

    ...no more lugbug, I just saw that? Wtf how are we going to get transformation fragments etc? And what about our regional nerf of luna and the pouch being on 50-kill?
