  1. The problem now is that everyone's attack stats are too high due to the stats on the gear pieces themselves PLUS attack runestones, advanced stigmas, advanced Daevanion skills, etc. Having 25k attack allows people to just use 3-5 skills to kill you. So if they get the jump on you, it's over. Or if you get the jump on them, it's the same thing, just in your favor. We need to have less attack stats overall (or higher defense stats) because that would make the fights last longer. If you're not hitting as hard, then it will take you longer to kill someone, thus requiring some actual thought to be put into fights and some sort of actual F U N.

    Fun.

What Aion pvp used to be.

So here's something interesting I discovered this morning. I'm not positive, but I thiiiiiink if you let your plants die, you can get a loooot more exp marks in there. I made the mistake of removing Rejuvenating Spell from my rotation in there, went afk, and ended up dying (loool). When I came back, I had 15 minutes left, all of my plants were dead, and there were probably a thousand mobs in there. Up to that point, I had only gained 4 exp marks. I thought about quitting, but decided to just clear the mobs manually in that last 15 minutes. I ended up with 18 exp marks from hard mode with no sort of exp boost (no stars, energy of repose, runestone, etc). Normally, I end up with 7 exp marks from hard mode. Granted, I did not get any of the Lumiel's transmutation energies because my plants had all died, but tbh who tf cares lol. Seriously, there were a TOOOON of mobs that had spawned. I think when your plants are alive, it keeps the mob spawn number down. So if you really want to get a ton of exp in the Garden, I'd recommend letting your plants die in the beginning, letting the mobs build up for the next half hour, then coming back in and manually clearing all of the mobs yourself. I only tried this once, but I really have no other explanation for how I ended up with 18 exp marks in there lol.

Legionmate reminded me about the exp boost we have over the weekend, so I guess that was the extra marks I got. Damn. Was hoping I had stumbled upon a way to get even more exp out of this event, but oh well! :D

Just please stop with the "no name" people. Maybe these people aren't as well known as you are, but they are real people who play the game and their opinions are also valid. We can't have a real conversation here if people are too afraid to voice their concerns and if people are too stubborn to listen to both sides.

  5. I did two runs this morning. I did NOT use any sort of exp booster except Prestige. No exp runestone, Berdin's stars, energy of repose, combat potion, etc.

    Normal Mode:
    744 mobs killed
    (4) exp marks
    (10) Lumiel's transmutation energies
    (16) exp extractors
    (16) Timeless Terrace tonics

    Hard Mode:
    737 mobs killed
    (7) exp marks
    (13) Lumiel's transmutation energies
    (10) exp extractors

So yeah, no tonics from hard mode. I guess the trade-off is you get almost double the exp from hard mode, but no tonics.

  6. It will be what it will be lol. Korea is merging down to 2 servers soon due to decreased population; they just announced yesterday. However, they are adding new servers in Classic. Here in NA, we will likely get a final server merge down to 1 server, they'll open a few servers for Classic mode, and we'll play that for a couple years. Then that will close down, and Aion 2 (mobile game) will finally be released. We just have to go with it or move onto a different game/franchise. No one likes it, but it's our reality. 😕

  7. Evergale was fun back in summer of 2018, but it will never be again unless they want to give actually GOOD pvp rewards, such as souls to trade for Bitterthorn gear, a lot more AP, purple pvp enchantment stones, etc. That will not happen, so EC will remain a pointless endeavor. It's the sad truth about all of the pvp instances currently. Those battlefield coins are absolutely useless.

@Kibbelz The auto-hunting window isn't showing up for some players, including myself (Yes, from inside the instance).

I've tried relogging, leaving and reentering the instance, closing the game client and reopening, trying to enter on other toons to check if it works on them and it doesn't.

Go here to make sure it's turned on:

That said, several months ago when we first got this patch, it was thought that only the 64bit client could see the auto-combat icon. Not sure if that's a factor at play as well.

^ Me watching my toon auto-combat. Weird af to see. I recommend doing a quick 2-3 minute clear of the mobs when you first enter the event instance before you go afk if your class doesn't have many AOE skills. That way your toon can keep up with the respawned mobs or they'll kill your little plants as they grow. Although, the fully grown plants do not give as much exp as the small mobs, and we did not receive the Berdin's Stars drops on the plants like other regions got (surprise, surprise), so you may not care if your fully grown plants die lol. A full hour inside the instance got me 7 exp marks. So overall, not a bad thing to do while you're working/sleeping, but probably not worth doing on any alts unless you're trying to get exp marks on them for some reason.
