  1. Okay I see now English isn't your first language so I will clarify: it was a joke when I said Kromede and BCM were leaders. It was an insincere statement. I'm contributing to the forums because some Asmos insist leadership won't help even though they very obviously do much worse without coordination. In a perfect world I want Asmos to have a good team of leaders to help build morale and give us something to compete against.
  2. Cope. To get the focus of big xforms you actually have to be a threat to us or a problem to deal with. An alliance worth of Asmos with no communication is not a problem. But since you believe "Leadership is your death for your faction to face the others" the Asmo leadership crisis has been solved: Kromede and BCM both died with their Commander/Gov xforms in this fight so I guess case closed, Asmodians have true leaders after all
  3. Gotta keep my eyes on the objective. it's a leadership thing, wouldn't expect an Asmodian to understand
  4. Yeah that's the point of the thread My guaranteed win scenario literally ends with it being contingent on a coordinated Asmodian faction going to the right fortress at the right time. We know there is no coordination, the thread title gave it away. Thread isn't about faction balance, but the difference between having a leader (or coordination) and not is whether or not you go to the free guaranteed-win forts or not. I mean just remember when siege defense was bugged, Elyos ONLY came to Gelk because the Asmodians weren't taking the un-defended Elyos CKT forts because they thought we would defend even when it was bugged and we needed them to take it so that we could cycle the rewards. Going to Gelk was the nuclear option to try and shove the Asmodians into the correct higher-reward fortress and even that took I think 4 sieges until it worked. Multiple Elyos ended up in Asmo discords (myself included) telling y'all to take the free forts >ㅅ< A coordinated faction wouldn't be split and arguing the way Asmos were for those four sieges. L9 Buff doesnt exist anymore, and L5 ReFly buff is 10x more OP. That being said, if Asmos don't see any victory as being better than no victory then, like, what's the point in anything? If there are Asmos in this thread who don't value any victory over no victory, then they're in the wrong thread because Naduah wants a leader and coordinated faction to help take any victory they can get. Yeah I mean, this is my point. "We did a little better with leadership" yeah that's what @Naduah wants per the title of the thread I feel for the asmos in the thread but you gotta stop replying with "we're still imbalanced tho even with leadership" -- we know, everyone knows that. This thread isn't about solving faction balance, it's about the lack of Asmo coordination and how it's making an already bad situation worse.
  5. This is not my comparison; this comparison is on a micro scale of per-battle. If you did the same thing about fortresses then it is also binary; you can only win or lose a fort and you can only win or lose a boss. For siege as a whole though, on the macro scale, you can have more agency in where you lose and where you win. Elyos can't be everywhere at once. Sure Elyos trolled Asmos twice this season, but they also lost Temple of Scales to Asmodians twice because they [Elyos] played like idiots. Even if you want to ignore that, Asmodians were still getting fortresses by electing to do things a certain way (in this case, letting Elyos cap the big ones so Asmos can take Gelk and occasionally Ingg). Anything is better than nothing, and that's what Asmodians were getting until the last 2 sieges. This is wrong, we actively berate in LFG and Command Chat anyone who doesn't follow the faction from fort to fort; we never split on a fortress because doing so risks people missing out on stones and GP; gotta keep everyone happy to keep everyone together and that means we all go to the same forts every time with the exception of free-roam farmers or Asmo hunters. The idea that we simultaneously attack two forts at once is a joke, and on the rare occassion that it happens it is to our detriment. Three sieges ago, in fact, Asmodians barely won their 2nd Gelk fort but the only reason they did was because Elyos split between two forts against the wishes of leadership and it made us just barely too slow on the push because we didn't everyone. First, found the guy who still believes the photoshop meme. Second, I brought that up as an example of how hard Asmos doomer about the faction difference. It's a great example of correctly identifying a gap but taking it just a step too far. Has nothing to do with denial of PVP disparity between the two factions; I've spent the whole thread agreeing with everyone who said Asmos have it worse off. I'm still waiting for you to read my messages before you reply. Here's your scenario, as seen in my previous message: Hopefully you read this message all the way to the end before starting the next reply.
  6. If you read any of my messages you know the continuation of both of those comments were "Asmos are going to lose [but the difference is] how badly the Asmos lose" which refers to picking losses and grabbing free forts when they can vs being the #NoFortFaction, and "You'll never catch me saying we're on equal footing, but some people really take the dooming too far. I bet there's people on this thread who still believe that screenshot of a +13 Paragon Mace is real and not a photoshopped meme." Which speaks for itself. You have to actually read my messages beyond the points that you quote so that you don't misunderstand.
  7. No, what I said is that you will never win if you don't try. What I said on this thread was that if you think "no try = no win" means "try = guaranteed win" then you don't deserve a win at all. That kind of binary thinking is bot-tier. I literally just finished a message in which I explicitly say: " Asmos are going to lose" and "You'll never catch me saying we're on equal footing". If you read that and still believe that I think the Asmos are just as good or just as capable then I don't know what can be said to make it more clear. If you're asking "how do you possibly see the Asmodians winning a siege?" Then the answer is: Level 4-5 ReFly buff on CKT fort, probably easier when pink but just as possible during Elyos defense. On L4/5 your PVE/P atk and def are boosted significantly beyond gear level and you have an auto percentage based heal. On top of that, CKT forts have no Frigid Storm or mutation clutches, and both dux rooms are small enough that Asmodian transforms (again, receiving passive percentage based heals per the buff) can drop stuns on the entire room and wipe the Elyos who have to tank them + the dux, who would likely be casting annihilation since it's harder to bug during PVP. EVEN IF that was too whacko for you to image, then consider both CKT forts are pink. Elyos can only be at one at a time and the portals close after 30min. Asmo PVEDPS will be way higher (per the ReFly buff) so Asmos could take a CKT fort with no PVP whatsoever given a high enough buff and coordinated participation. If you wanna say "Asmos could never cos they aren't coordinated" then congratulations, that's the topic of the thread╭(◔ ◡ ◔)/ That's such a bad faith interpretation of what I said. I basically pointed and went "hah, funny" and that's all the brain power that went into that. I thought the goofy robot emoticons would have given away that this was a very light bantering └[∵┌]└[ ∵ ]┘[┐∵]┘ Also, you didn't make an argument. You just said that the game is not inviting to people (I agree) and that Elyos are deluded if they think the Asmos are on equal footing, which I also agree with because nobody thinks the Asmos are as capable or as stacked as the Elyos. On a second read, I literally agree with basically everything you said, my dude. Game is hard for noobs, game is one-sided, and anyone who thinks it's fair 'n square is a fool
  8. I play for free, I'm just meming the GF Ad because I think it's ToS but have doubts it'll be moderated @0@
  9. That's not what I said, try reading it again. Elyos tactics are just about leveraging the advantages we have and trying to trick asmos into positions favourable to us. It's true that we're not 4D Chess-ing Asmos out of otherwise resounding successes; Asmos are going to lose because, well that's the thread But the difference between tactics and no tactics on the Elyos side is how badly the Asmos lose. Heck, when there's no leadership on Elyos side sometimes Asmos even sneak and Ingg fort. Happened twice back to back a few weeks ago. Aren't you the guy playing the Gameforge server? That's what I heard anyway. Trust me, we're acutely aware of our advantages and the significant disparity between the two factions. You'll never catch me saying we're on equal footing, but some people really take the dooming too far. I bet there's people on this thread who still believe that screenshot of a +13 Paragon Mace is real and not a photoshopped meme. The commentary that Aion's progression is gated behind too much to ask of the average player is something I hold in my heart. I have friends who want to play this with me but it's simply too difficult or expensive for them to so much as dip their toes in the water. [┐∵]┘Beep boop └[∵┌] Gameforge Advertisement detected!
  10. I've said it a hundred times already: if you think "you'll never win if you never try" means "try and you will in everything every time" then you literally don't deserve a single win at all. Not ever. Now I'm gonna focus on siege here because that was (I'm pretty sure) what inspired the thread. That's what the buff system is for. Rokie tried to lead today and that was a good thing he did and I commend him for it and every other Asmo should be too, but I won't pretend like it wasn't a bad play. Asmodians chose the fortress which has no buff system and also spent the Commander xform before the first gate went down. Two instant-loss decisions back to back. A learning experience for next time though. I don't think the Asmodians have realised that until just a month or two ago, the buff system in Crimson Kata was bugged and applied the old 4.0 L1-L9 buff system instead of the OP broken ReFly L1-5 system. The buff there is OP, and at L4 and L5 it has a passive percentage-based autoheal and xforms are enabled on those maps now. To my memory, the Asmodians have not made a real attempt on either of these fortresses since the buff fix + raised buff level. This is despite the fact that everyone with gear + rank starts on these forts anyway so if you'd just put the rest of the faction there ahead of time there's a point where we literally cannot stop you from taking it because the buff is too strong. Depending on the buff might not be ideal but it's a lot more rewards than what you get for having no forts at all. As a leader on the Elyos side I'll give you a little peak behind the curtain; we completely rely on the fact that Asmodians will give up forts that they definitely could win (via buff or other circumstances) out of intimidation. High buffs on a fort like Pradeth; where the Commander Stun radius hits the entire dux room, would be a miracle for us to win but we focus on tactics that are more likely to scare off the Asmodians like using their gate/breaking their inner gate instead of our own. It's posturing. On the other hand, the Asmodians don't have tactics at all. The closest thing I can call a strategy is to wait until the last possible second to give orders in order to dodge confrontation with the Elyos or in fear of being spied on. I did just say that we'd be riding the strugglebus if we had to fight Asmos for a Pradeth dux, but there are things the Asmos do which give us advantages; such as not having a plan, xforming at inopportune times, not coordinating at all, DPSing the dux down to like 40% and then getting steamrolled by the faction they let RG outside. Trying isn't an autowin, having a leader isn't an autowin, and having the buff isn't an autowin. But if the whole faction really tries, and you have informed leadership and the buff is a high level, then I don't honestly see what Elyos could do to stop a loss in CKT; especially w/o artifacts and especially on a pink fort (non-defense).
  11. I really couldn't. NCKR has made sure that starting from scratch is as hard as it can possibly be; with as many walls as possible between a fresh account and even moderately competitive standards. I've thought about it before tbh, but the time investment is just so punishing for something I'm only mildly curious to see the outcome of. Besides I'd just do what I already said to do; make a discord and discuss strategy and options ahead of siege time
  12. Nobody over there wants to hear it from me, but for real even if no one wants that responsibility or accountability the Asmodians at least need coordination. Make a discord, make plans, make sure everyone's on the same page. I know drama and blah blah but if you can at least point people at the same fortress with more than 120 seconds before the siege starts, the difference will be significant. Debate fort rotations an hour before siege, not 2 minutes before siege. Asmos have pretty gosh darn significant ReFly-era fort buffs across the board (except Gelk) so basic coordination would go a long way.
  13. Yes you did. The Asmos literally killed the Elyos in the Gelk fort, over and over and over again. They just kept reviving and coming back for fun. Stop building the Elyos mythology with these fantasies that Elyos are tanking Gelk for unscathed w/o transformation. Read page 1 of the thread, my only point is that Asmos overhyped the existing disparity and that trying nets more wins than not trying at all; a point you conceded right here: You just said Asmos have and can win when the Elyos don't care or don't show up due to timezone. This is literally what I said on page 1. I'll say it louder so people on page 2 of the thread can hear it: If you literally never try, you will literally never win. If you always try, you will sometimes win. Got it? No claims of balance, no "you're 1 try away from absolute success", just the objectively true statement that the only way to guarantee 0 wins is to never try; especially when there are opportune times to try in which the Elyos are occupied or disinterested. Doesn't surprise me if true, NC doesn't have a long history of balancing faction zones. The idea that it's easier for Elyos to raid the Gelk fort does support the notion that people are really overhyping what a display of power it is to go into the gelk fort > reset guards > kill some asmos > get killed n repeat
  14. I knew deep down inside that as soon as Beast's group went into the mostly inactive hub zone where nobody with gear hangs out, someone would revive this dead thread to use it as validation as to why "participate in content if you want rewards" is a bad take. The culture of taking literally any excuse to give up without trying is something my DNE days scarred me with. Asmos be like "they tanked weak guards and killed fissure/splinter alts, we don't stand a chance" Asmos be like "Kromede and BCM are top 1 and 2, we will protest by gearing the Elyos for free" Mark my words, asmos are gonna be like "we're not participating until they un-ban Shotbot" too (if they haven't already). But since we're out here kek-ing, let's go over the recent stream/incident which I assume inspired your contribution @Rahvan-KT. 1. The guards are weak. Very weak. Their only danger is the stun, and even then the Elyos attacking Gelk Fort were resetting the guards periodically by stacking in a certain spot which gave them cover from Asmodians and NPCs alike. 2. Despite this, they literally died anyway. The idea that these people just flattened your fort and left unscathed is just more anti-effort myth-building. They wiped over and over. Maybe a couple survived by retreating, but there was a lot of dying done on their part. They just kept coming back for fun. 3. The fact that there is no reason for a geared player to be in Gelk Fort means there'll be a sample bias when it comes to which asmos are there when they attack; it gives the illusion of imbalance. Just run into Ingg fort yourself, you'll feel like a god stomping out all those alts and randoms. It's literally so easy to bulldoze past guards in these cities because there are seldom geared attentive players just waiting around to defend, and most guards can be kited. Give yourself 1 support player and you can run circles around both zones. I was literally doing this in significantly less gear than exists now back nearly two years ago: a All of this is to say nothing of the fact that after this thread blew up, the Asmos saw an uptick in activity which immediately resulted in the first Agent wins of the season for Asmos, and some boss wins with some close calls too. It's just an absurd epic own to say "your point is dumb because people can tank weak guards which were designed to be moderately discouraging to people wearing gear from four gear metas/three years ago."
  15. Not only did Elyos show up, they knew ahead of time and met the Asmos with resistance. Names censored for privacy but it wasn't random Elyos nobodies and alts who fought and lost. Before the fight: After the fight: Sure it wasn't 100% of Elyos but that also was specifically my earlier point; that Asmos are missing out on opportunities for victory on the assumption that there simply is none because there will always be stronger Elyos no matter what. 2:24pm in my timezone is equal to just after siege time in Server Time -- which is a time of day that most NA players are logged in for. Keep shooting your shot ~ "win some, lose some" is better than "lose literally all of them" Asmos already won mass PVP at Agent battles in every other agent patch before and now this one too
  16. Shortly after my last comment and before this one, the Asmodians successfully won an agent battle; not only giving the Asmo economy more holy water and wraps, but also the tradeable Apostle contract for a crit damage collection transform who cannot be obtained in game besides an event. That's a big deal, and should turn more agent spawns into agent wars. If asmos still don't wanna show up after winning then that's not an "Elyos too strong" problem that's an "Asmos too defeatist." Either way, congratulations to the Asmos~!
  17. You're right to say it makes no sense to be scared of losing when you're already losing -- that's what I was saying Wasn't an ad hominem either, I was addressing the position of the faction at large rather than the individual. Could have been more clear, I suppose. If "scared" is too colourful for you, or you don't feel that it represents the faction correctly, then call it anything else but the point is the same. If Asmodians feel hopeless, or that it's "rigged", the point still stands that abstaining from the bosses doesn't change the net loss result. We're still getting mass brokerable Holy Water drops twice a day every day since Asmos decided not to take Agent this patch, even though they have every other patch prior. Likewise we're getting free oath tablets and brokerable daeva passives because asmos don't wanna troll for 59min in the Temple of Apsu to disrupt. It will feel more and more "rigged" the longer Elyos are allowed to make uninterrupted gains. I got the impression that the person I originally replied to didn't want to participate in these things, which is why I said: If I misunderstood and the person I was originally replying to actually does want to participate, then we are in agreement that they're let down by a faction who will not participate, as you said above.
  18. Well tbf there's some sample bias there; the kinds of people who storm the city are likely to be confident and therefore stacked, and the city is not a hub for geared players to afk/hang out in That aside, I'm just trying to say that Asmodians are getting high on their own cope supply. Regardless of total numeric imbalances, the Elyos don't have a perma shield wall of p2w people at every single hour of the game. The Asmodians don't even attempt to take advantage of this and that's what bothers me because that's how my old server's faction was. They'd rather take their hands off and act like there's literally no circumstance in which they could win -- including things they've previously been winning like Apsa Agent and Imbued Weap WB. My original statement was that Asmodians are more scared than they need to be, and that's true. Scared of losing? You're already losing, abstinence isn't a loophole that makes our wins not your losses. Scared of p2w? They're not always on, and they don't have incentive to come to the bosses. Anyways, i'm not saying "just try, you'll instantly win" it's more like "don't cry if you don't try." There is no Asmo struggle right now because for struggle there has to be effort.
  19. Ah yes, the old "you could never possibly understand what it's like to be on the loser faction side" argument when you're talking to someone who came from the worst faction to ever grace the NA servers. It's not "you are not trying hard enough", it's "you are not trying." Because you're not, seriously. When in all of 2022 did Asmodians make a serious attempt to even block Ardath? Why aren't you taking the Agent? You literally took it from us a bunch in 8.2 and 8.3. It's not hard to troll and steal. How could anyone possibly complain that they can't get a boss when they don't show up? Your attitude also assumes that every single WB is defended by every single Elyos on the server; which I'm trying to tell you isn't the case. Geared people don't usually go to half these things because there's nothing to be gained. If dying in a video game hurts your pride or your feelings too much, then me rerolling Asmo and gearing up won't prove you right that it can't be done due to overwhelming odds; it'll prove me right that the Asmodian faction has geared players who are let down by a defeatist attitude and a culture of mocking the very idea of sincere attempts lest you risk the possibility of failure -- the kind of nonsense I had to deal with from 2017-2021. Just look at Gelk Agent defense -- Asmodians let us take countless Mastariuses for weeks at a time until one day Asmos decided to defend when the Elyos were low population and few geared players. 1 Successful Gelk defense and now Asmos come out every spawn to try and defend. Sometimes win, sometimes lose. That's the game, baby.
  20. Not to poke the hive, but you're literally too scared. More scared than you need to be. You're overhyping the competition. I don't think Asmos realise how few Elyos attend Ardath -- so few that sometimes he doesn't even die within the timer. The last time an Elyos told the Asmos "just try" they came within a few thousand DPS of stealing Anomos literally hours later and they had minimal support. I'm also not accepting "we tried" because I don't even think you've tried since 2021? I remember early on asmos would troll and attack at Ardath but it's run basically uninterrupted as far as I know for the whole of 2022. You can talk yourself out of it with exaggerating faction gear differences but at the end of the day Ardath slaps and fighting on two fronts will kill any faction. Literally all the Asmos need to know is the boss rotation. If you're so afraid to lose, you don't deserve the win.
  21. Make your own thread for skins. 100% of the people in this thread will support your skins thread -- everyone loves skins -- but what they don't love is the suggestion that NC should ignore the legitimate requests of any given thread in favour of your priority. PVP instances are a direct detriment to your progression in Aion unless you have to enchant daevanion skills; and even at that point there are other ways to acquire the essences. You are losing progression if you run PVP instances instead of the more efficient various PVE grinds. That is not how Aion should be; it has never been that way since Dredgion AP in 1.5 to PVP Dungeon Etium in 7.2. From 7.5 onward it has been a total reward-less waste of time to do the PVP dungeons that we love. EU has fixed this, NA should too. Update the Battlefield Coin Reward shop to include these items or at the very least to include relevant items which will keep players queuing. They have the RNG Gloriad Chest in there for Bitterthorn random pieces, why not throw in the random any-class gear box for Fighting Spirit which we get from the Dispatch Reward in Apsaranta? NC can customise the prices and set weekly limits for these sorts of rewards; so it's not very outlandish to request.
  22. @Rin Are the runestone boxes you choose from Prime Runestones? It just says Dazzling Gemstone/Runestone; but whether it's a normal/greater/prime runestone matters very much :') **EDIT** Also, can the lugbug kills be completed in alliance? Would be interesting if we had faction trains running across the map
  23. Aion began requiring all accounts to use a PIN verification in 2010 as part of a new security measure. The first time you log in it will ask you to set a pin, then repeat it. You can contact support to try and reset it if you need to. I don't 100% follow your post but if you're trying to log into the same account you used for the original Aion launch, it is probably gone. You can try emailing support from that email and see if they can help but when 3.0 came out there was a migration period from using a username/password login to creating an "NC Account". It was optional for a little while but became mandatory and after a few years of mandatory migration, non-migrated accounts were erased (as far as I know). Since you don't know the PIN system, that suggests you haven't logged in since long before that migration.
  24. $500 USD for a Hanbok. NCW please, they cost us $15 USD last time. Why are you gatekeeping the Instant Return skill so much? We waited all year for NCW just to say "oops forgot" when the Hanbok pixel window came and went, don't charge us $485 more for the exact same product just because you forgot to implement the event earlier and it now might be incompatible with the coming build of the game. 1200 BC Coin was the price of a selectable legendary Hanbok, and should remain as such. $500 buys us a lot of different games we could be playing instead. Disappointing disconnect from what everyone was asking for vs what NCW was willing to give us.
  25. They do, I got two on the first night but none since then. Seems like it's definitely the lowest percentage vending machine reward.
