  1. I've been pretty happy with classic up until AB, but this new zone sucks in so many ways it's not funny and it's burning me out on the game. Beluslan is the worst map in the game, why they chose it for a reboot idk. Morheim would have been much more fun, we used to do world pvp all the time there back in the day. Beluslan is ugly, boring and needlessly difficult to get around. The airships and free resurrections there help a little, but now there is also windstreams, geysers, teleport statues and like 8 different camps all over the map to get the dailies done, it's maze of bland purple rocks and ice and you have to get through every corner of the map for dailies. Also they added the lovely Tiamat Sniper mobs that will chase you down and take you out if you aggro, just for fun. All that noise with the map gets in the way of making world pvp enjoyable, which is the whole point of the zone,. There's no new instance or anything, this is it. If you want the new gear you gotta run this dumb map every day for an hour at least. There's also the overcomplicated marks currency thing which is not well explained. You get marks, then have to wait for a Shugo merchant to appear "somewhere" in the zone, find the guy, trade in marks to get some other items that expire in 5 mins.... LOL, then run to another camp to turn them in to get some other items, which you can then go back to the airship and trade in for the actual rewards.... it's an obvious timesink and the zone is bland and a pain in the butt to get around. We worked so hard to get people into the game and caught up, and now I count the minutes I'm in AB because it's just not enjoyable
  2. You can skip Kromede's Trial pretty easily now. Just focus on campaigns until you hit 50. Save your kinah for getting skills while leveling, and only take the skills you need. You don't need every rank of every skill. You can use Teleport to quest NPC in most zones to save on travel fees as well
  3. This idea was posted elsewhere but should be here too. Make Siel's Aura giftable. It would help invite people to the game.
  4. Once in awhile I get a message that I have achieved enough Potential to receive a reward. It says to click the pop up menu, but I never see it.
  5. The chest behind Mantutu is for a quest, if you don't have it you can just ignore it. Babukin is a large Shulack that patrols the first big room after Mantutu. There's a lot of mobs in that room so you have to carefully pull and kill them while Bubukin is on the far side of the room. If you can beat Mantutu you should be able reach Lahulahu, the last boss of the lower deck, just don't forget to use the Shulack Bomb item when you get double pulls. When you get to Lahulahu use both running and attack/cast speed scrolls, he runs around the room opening steam valves. When he dies you take a lot of damage for each valve he opened, so keep your HP bar full and use shock scrolls if you have them as well.
  6. I think the in game support menu hasn't worked for awhile. What does seem to work is sending an email from the account used to set up your game account, with something like "Item restoration" in the subject line, with a brief description of what you want restored in the body of the email. So far I've used this method twice succesfully. You should get an initial response within a day, and if support can restore your item it should be done within one or two days after the initial response. Hope this helps!
  7. The current cap is 72 members, I'm not sure why. If it was 100 it would help keep folks in the Legion without frequent roster management. Ever since the overhaul with Coin production, plus daily and weekly quests for Legion Essence, there has been a push to eliminate smaller legions as it takes considerable group effort to advance and make use of the Legion buff tree. Combine that with the smaller playerbase for 2023 and the fact the server has been open for 2 years now. Most players have several charcters developed, and it is nice to allow members to have 1 or 2 alts in the Legion. Plus some people go on vacation or have other IRL things do deal with, and it become extra work to check the roster daily, find out who to kick and who to keep so we have room for new recruits or returning members.
  8. I'm stuck right there as well, got the Feeble Stone Energies but no Essence of Faint Earth yet and can't find any detailed information on Storybook Mode in general.
  9. Weekly maintenance is every Tuesday for now, usually lasts about 3 to 5 hours. In general if the server is down, you'll want to check the Announcements forum. For weekly maintenance the posts there also give you the patch notes to read and prepare for the new content.
  10. I rolled two characters on Nezekan server to see what leveling is like now and if you're familiar with the game it's not too hard. While I'm definitely not rich I have pretty much what I need to keep going around L38. Some tips: Hover mouse over every NPC to see if they have quests, do any quest that has a kinah or gear reward. If it just has XP reward or some random items like scrolls don't do those unless they seem easy. For instance there are several quests that just want you to talk to another NPC somewhere to get introduced to a new area. Avoid unnecessary travel, teleporter and flight fees add up and can eliminate kinah gain from quests. Do quests in clusters, if you see mobs for a different quest while you're running around, kill them while you're there. Use the "teleport to NPC" feature strategically to get around the map. Sometimes not completing a quest right away so you can still teleport to that location is better. Kinah is more important than XP. The campaign missions will provide all the XP you need to hit L50. Do solo instances, the drops are slightly better in there and some like Haramel and Steel Rake can give several useful gear upgrades. Kromede's Trial at L37-42 is a good time to farm kinah. The end boss of KT can give a good weapon but is pretty hard and not worth it if you keep dying. Avoid dying, play it safe, use pots and scrolls to stay alive. It's gonna happen but try to keep it to a minimum. Don't pay for Soul Healing! It's almost never worth the cost. The only time it can be advantageous is if you're stuck at L49 and have a small amount of debt XP to reach L50. Don't buy every skill book, if you know your class well you won't need all of them right away. Know which ones you can skip the early ranks of. For instance on my tank, I skipped the first rank of Taunt because it was only useful as a short range pull skill. I was only using Greatsword then so I skipped the first ranks of the shield skills, etx DP skills for instance are mostly unneeded until high levels, like 40+. I never buy the Herb/Mana Treatment skills, potions are cheap and often free. Use the Daeva Pass, check it often, if you activate all 4 passes you will have a good supply of items most of the time. Use your items! Rarely do you need to stockpile consumables during leveling. Run scrolls, food/drink, attack speed scrolls all will help you level faster and with more safety. The campaign missions are not listed in order of difficulty, some are easy some are much harder. Do Reshanta campaigns as they open up however, overall they're pretty easy, give good XP and at the end you get a very useful wing upgrade. Clearing campaigns will get you most of the gear you need along the way so don't neglect them for too long. At L45 the game gets a bit harder and then it's a good time to shop the broker for accessories with all that kinah you saved. Keep an eye on Broker prices, look for good deals. Once in awhile you can find stuff for very cheap. Try to keep your Broker listings full, but only up to 10 listings, after that the listing fee increases and will eat into your profits. Hopefully this is a useful list of ways to save kinah while leveling. Good luck and remember to have fun, it's a game not a job
  11. It would be cool if one of the good PvP tanks responded, templar can be very powerful once you get set up with a full enchanted PvP set of gear and stigmas, slotted with green manastones, etc. In my experience, PvP tank is hard and without a good team often I can't do much. You really gotta know what classes your up against, have a good marking and selection system down. That's something I nees to work on, getting SelectBrand set to keybinds because with all the range and mobility of the other classes tab targeting is a waste of time. Deciding what skill to use when of course is key. I'm forgetting what it's called at the moment, but there's one ranged stun spell you can use early on to help get the fight started in your favor, especially vs. SM or Sorc who can shut you down fast. I tend to save Doom Lure to pull enemies off my teammates but it can be easily resisted by strong players. Prayer of Freedom is essential for removing snares but you can only use it once per fight . Watch out for debuffs, reapply scrolls as needed. The main goal is to get shield stuns in. You have one instant cast and then Shieldburst which takes a second to land. Just my 2 cents as a novice PvP tank. Hopefully this will help or at least motivate a better tank to explain how they do it. Long story short, it's a tough climb to the top but it gets good and fun when you get near the top.
  12. Sounds like Hand Behind the Ice Claw, for Asmodians. Once you get into Ice Claw Village stick to the right side until you cross the water. Climb the ridge on the other side and look for a statue that will teleport you inside the aether field if you have the title selected. The hard part is getting to the statue, but one teammate should be enough. Once inside you can head to Protector Karhel without aggro usually, and he's an easy kill.
  13. You can trade Platinum medals for Sapphires in the War Effort Rewards room in Gelk or Ingg fort. Go to the Consumables vendor and look for a Sapphire medal pouch that you can buy with Plats. Took me awhile to find it myself, I had to ask around in game for a couple days. My main is committed to the Sapphire set now at 4/5 pieces. So basically farm Plats from daily quests or sieges, then trade em to the vendor for Sapphires
  14. Ah somehow I missed that, I was looking for an NPC somewhere, thank you!
  15. Where do you spend them? I heard it's related to Legion buff system, I'd like to figure this out.
  16. I like Nezekan, it is quiet, the broker is starved so your sales matter, and you can have conversations in /3 Please keep my secret hideout alive
  17. It shows up in the Legion Coin production tab daily, but I haven't found out how to get them yet.
  18. I have 6, soon to be 7 Asmos on Siel server, but I want to roll Elmos on Nezekan. Since we've only had one server the whole time I've been on Classic, I only got to see Elysea a few times while rifting. However I am worried that if NC decides to merge Siel and Nezekan at a later date I might have to delete the Ely characters.
  19. It seems I didn't mention anywhere that we're an Asmo Legion, my mistake.
  20. We have a good mix of leveling and max level players across a variety of timezones, from PST, EST to EU, as well as an active Discord channel to hang out off hours or plan runs. Our players are friendly, respectful and helpful and Legion/Discord chat is encouraged. We meet up for 2nd Dredge most days of the week and once in awhile I award a prize for the most exceptional member of the season. If you're max level looking for dailies or dungeon runs, or returning to the game and leveling up, <Eternal> is here to help and have fun. Eternal Gaming Community also has groups in other games as well, including Aion Classic EU, and I can invite you to the Discord to find those groups. You can message or write me in game @Alance
  21. I played most of this weekend, and got a blue Nachal's Spear and a gold Elder chain piece, but zero white drops besides junk like Wild Ginseng. No manastones, no white gear. I've noticed this for awhile, it seems like rare/uncommon drop rate is relatively normal, but the common white drops are just gone. Given the rate of failure on manastones, it's really important that they drop. Or we just get used to playing with unsocketed gear lol
  22. Anyone else not able to log in? It says unable to connect to authorization server
  23. Something NC West could potentially innovate, flexible subscriptions, like $2 for a 24 hour pass, $4 for a week, etx. Since it would be strictly be an access issue and not interfere with the game code itself, implementation could be pushed forward with less delay, assuming NC West has the budget to contract a programmer for a whole month The point being that with a game this old yet with a dedicated following, flexible subs could keep people online and playing. Plenty of people who love this game don't have the time to play 5 or 6 days a week. Think of it like booking a flight, concert or hotel room I get it tho, constant processing of micropayments outside of Quna might be too difficult for NC
  24. I used to run 3 keys often to help out, it was a fun, short instance and the Fire Room was a nice challenge for a group of rookies. Now that it's solo only I see players hardstuck there and all we can say is use items, pull slowly and good luck. I know that you can be invited to FT if someone else unlocks it, I just don't like that you can't help or get help with 3 Keys. By the time you can solo it, you don't need Fire Temple anymore. I'm not a new player and I've tried it on a few classes since the change. It's a good instance, just not solo.
