  1. @2s65F09 The economy was bad the moment players realized that 3rd party RMTers were willing to pay 384 days worth of grinding kinah cap for a single weapon. This changed the market dynamics so people sold enchant stones/golds to these players. Creating a situation where even consumables to do all upper forts+DP and so on daily would cost the average player 1.8-2.4m daily to participate in all progression content.

It is unsustainable because NCsoft put a 1.3m kinah cap as well as NCsoft nerfing item price by 4x the original value creating a situation where due to the lack of bots it is unsustainable to play the game as an average player. An average player is not someone who can invest all their time in to crafting they are the average joe that comes home grinds a few mobs while waiting for instance groups to form and sustains their gameplay.

  2. You get a free decent level 50 weapon when 2.0 comes out that will carry you through that patches content. Beyond that Selling Udas eternal accessories is big $'s as well as farming for the major recovery serum/potion design early on.

Gathering will be some major $'s since people will be rushing their crafts to be the first one to craft things like balic weapons(for cleric especially) thus making things like brilliant malavite worth 1m a pop.

2.0's market will have items moving a lot because of this.

  3. Does it matter?

People are going in to it with the loci-res method already known. Beyond that maybe the sorc gate method also works. However i do hope it is the original one version.

I did watch a group wipe like 20 times on the shulacks bosses so maybe it is the hard version but they were also fresh 55s.

  4. The problem with this as gamers we have no idea what the talks are like between EU and KR and what KR allows NA to do in regards to catering to their region based off the talks they have had. We can only speculate.

    Aion doesn't need F2P.

If WoW can thrive on a $15/mth. subscription since inception, so could Aion,  if NCsoft would fix all the problems the community keeps posting about over and over for years, eg. failure rates, equipment inequality,  having to run the same instance hundreds of times for one piece of gear to drop etc.  One of the biggest issues in the game is the bad RNG that effects almost everything, people are sick of failure.

This is just wishful thinking, There are things Aion does not have that it will never have. Like PvE servers which is close to 90% of the community in WoW. That alone is one a reason why Aion failed it does not work w/o factions and faction v faction content is a niche in the genre.

It's funny you guys paying more less players in game. :) If you guys want more players you have to pay less lol.

I got a bit of a story here for ya, I use to be a P-server owner for a game called Ark: Survival evolved. It was on my own server in my house but it got really popular, To the point where i was spending more time being an Admin than actually playing on the server which created a situation where they actually offered me money to stop playing and go full time admin or hire people to be admins on the server. Anyways long story short i was making about $1200 a month with 250-350 people playing the server. As people started quitting those who were left started donating more money out of fear the server was going to shut down so i went from $1200 to $2500 a month despite having less than 70 people playing on the server at that point. Due to going back to the official servers due to the main release i no longer wanted to be admin.

In the end i gave people who were around for the 3 months before i shut down the server a refund because simply because it was people spending out of addiction and fear of losing their progression rather than spending to enjoy the game.

It genuinely still mind boggles me to this day how people can start spending so much purely out of fear of losing something in a game world.

  7. This is a typical Aion problem. It will only get worse as there are more and more XP events and people level up accounts on the other faction. NCwest can not do anything about it because as far as i understand there is no rule saying you have to participate in dredge.

The good thing is if you find a 5 man pre-made or even 4 man pre-made you can often beat these teams of 6 who are doing this method because they are not the best at PvP.

May I add another issue is that a -significant- portion of our players are EU and can't participate in half the content?

Can't we have another tiak window earlier in the day?

Sieges a bit earlier? Even for east coast NA.. divine from midnight to 1am is maddness

Tbh i would love to see a time change before i see another nerf. @Rin plz take this in to consideration.

I was exaggerating of course it was more than 5 but it wasn't "many" by any means.  We had way more last week.  I think it was about 10k per person without double AP. Maybe a bit more.

Aww rip hahaha i thought maybe they all had cannons or something.

There're many levels of surviving. If you cut all arms and legs only body and head left could considering as survive as well but I'm talking about surviving with full body not just the head.

This was exactly my point but this is different to that because it is about money and when money is concerned they will keep it open so long as it is profitable for the publisher. So it will not thrive but it can survive.

I'm not saying all paying players are not important, I saying massive stuff p2w like candy needs to be gone. How else people making money with all drops removed ? You would rather have drops and making kinah than buying candy and make kinah right ?

Who ruins the game more that 1 player that buys 1 billion kinah through RMT that can buy w/e they want when ever they want or those 50 players who buy 10 candies and sell them every day who can buy 1 enchant stone every 2-3 days giving the market time to recover? The answer is obviously that 1 player that buys 1 billion.

I was making anywhere from 25-100m daily depending on how much Access denied came across and yoinked 5 dot insane kishar mobs from me. People were selling candies for 80k EA giving people a 20% profit i was selling my items at a 30-40% profit so people were just buying the whites/greens from me instead of buying candies from players. Beyond that judgement weapons were selling for close to 2.5m instant sell and you would get up wards of 20 of them a day on a great day.

You could as a subscription player make money if you played the game and knew the money making locations. When i quit i bought out the broker of level 45 golds 800m+ worth and just extracted all of it then gave away all the stones to friends. Players who were lazy made no kinah because they were lazy. f2p players make no kinah period so their PoV was a non factor.

If you can't see important of survival of free players then don't ask or complain why servers are so dead. You can do everything in the world but Aion classic won't alive as long as you discarded important of free players.

I understand the theory behind the survival of free players but the reality is you can see the outcome of the lack of interest in Aion in the NA region w/o them. Having another 300 f2p players playing Aion does not put Aion in a healthy state you need close to 2000 players to bring it back.

  11. Maybe the 2 factions should work together and RP the nyerk out of that fort uniting to beat the balaur once and for all like kahrun would of wanted :D.

Not really it would be funny tho the drama that would succumb from it.

There are plenty of people that help lowbies and new players maybe stop focusing on the bad?

This is not really true, There are a lot of players who are willing to tell new players do campaigns to get to level 50 there are not many players at all that are willing to help them complete the campaign's and then even less players who are willing to play with a fresh level 50.

So while objectively you are correct people do help lowbies/new players the level of help is not at the level that would keep players around long term in the game.

Are you going to stop doing S rank DP(if you are doing S rank DP) to help a new player do their first B or A rank DP? You mite but the reality is 99.95% of the community would not unless they can no longer get people on to do their own run.

That's so far what I miss in the game and I believe more people miss these things too. Our Aion community are very tired to make posts like this because you guys don't listen but we only want Aion to have more players and not to be a dead game.

Your idea's are great but they only help the existing playerbase. However i see no appeal to why a new player would find these 3 changes appealing.

    1. This is a good idea but again from a new/returning player stand point having to create 5 accounts to sell your gains for the day because of the 1.3m kinah cap is an unnecessary crappy feeling so people will grind for 1 hour be kinah capped then stop grinding there. It only helps those who bot or are willing to do the annoyance of making 5 accounts to sell your extra white/green items to the vendor.

    2. Current siege was done this way because in KR people complained their side could not get medals. It was a deliberate design that makes siege pointless. Even if we had the numbers it is still a waste of time.

    3. Any cash shop update is nice for those who want to spend.
