  1. If I wanted to never miss in BT, how much accuracy would I need? And if I wanted to cap parry or block against lvl 55 mobs, how much would I need?
  2. For those who haven't realized, Wissp posted the exact same message on the Lineage II forum, the Blade & Soul forum, etc. They don't suddenly care about Aion. They literally just changed the game name and copy+pasted it.
  3. There's nothing surprising about that. EU is new, people hyped it to unreasonable levels and everyone is still in the honeymoon phase. In a few months, it'll look very different. Especially since EU has the same manastone shortage as NA and stigmas seem to be even worse. Kromede's Trial doesn't even drop a guaranteed stigma on EU, I did 3 runs and got no stigma at all. I've also only heard bad things about Steel Rake and high level loot in general. Most people haven't reached any of this content yet and so the general vibe is still positive. That's not going to stay that way.
  4. The EU loot table is all over the place. I know someone who got a graceful armor (lvl 45 fabled) drop from a lvl 22/23 worm in theobomos. I myself got lvl 37 earrings dropped in eltnen doing lvl 25 content. It very much feels like they just manually cranked up some numbers somewhere, rather than actually fixing loot. Which is also evident by the fact that manastones are still problematic. I'm lvl 32 now, and have gotten a grand total of 0 crit stones and 1 magic boost stone.
  5. "Disabled the Chaos Arena" wtf... These patch notes really make it seem like the game will be radically different post patch. Kinda like the end of classic. Game will be something new now.
  6. Remains to be seen. There are gear drops, yes, but I have yet to see a single manastone, or anything besides white/green gear really.
  7. We've been over this. NA also communicated and got a changed drop rate initially.
  8. Another one, I socket 6x enchantment stone with "success rate: 80". Expected outcome: 0, 1 or 2 fails, highest probability for 1 fail. Guess what happened? 4 fails. Chance for this to happen would be 1%. Now, I could just be really unlucky and hit that 1%. Except a "really unlucky" event happens literally every time I socket or enchant anything.
  9. Yep. I've seen plenty of fail streaks that would be extremely unlikely if the probabilities were simply the rate that's listed. I can only conclude that they're not. For example, I've failed 6 in a row with success rate 80, and also 5 in a row multiple times including today. Magic boost 23 stones into a blue daevanion set, they went fail-success-fail-fail-fail-fail-fail. There's no way that this keeps happening if it were a flat 80% chance.
  10. You seem confused about the fact that solving the bot caused inflation problem does not solve the botting problem. Whether kinah is made through vendor sales or through the broker, bots are still profitable, and therefore the server will still be full of bots, and the balance of kinah is still pulled towards botters and those who RMT buy kinah from them.
  11. Making items sell for 1 kinah would do nothing to stop bots, unless the items are also untradeable and unextractable. As long as kinah can be made in some way, people will bot. Also, any sufficient anti bot measure will kill open world loot for normal players too. If bots can't make kinah, neither can we.
  12. As far as I know, the timetable was like this: 1. Korea introduced nerfed drop rates (presumably to combat bots) 2. NA got nerfed drop rates 3. players complained, NC West staff negotiated a change with Korea 4. (not sure about the exact moment of this) NC West layoffs got rid of all the people on the Aion team that actually cared, including the ones that negotiated a change before 5. a patch (2.5?) came and introduced the drop issue that led to the decision to do a rollback 6. rollback undid the negotiated NA specific change and reverted to the nerfed world drops 7. since noone is left at NC West that gives a nyerk and NC Korea puts as little effort as possible into their Western servers, we are now stuck with it forever
  13. What? There are exactly 2 kinah spammers on the elyos side, they've been the same 2 accounts for months. Blocking is easy and intuitive. Lol
  14. Eh, are you unaware of the state of world loot, or what? You can't get a stigma there.
  15. That's not possible with current drop rates. You can clear Haramel 50 times and not find a single stigma. To have a reasonable chance at finding yours, you'd need to clear it hundreds of times. And the game caps a character at 5 runs per week.
  16. I think adding a stigma vendor at this point is a bad idea. It's already nearly impossible to get kinah because without world loot, there's nothing to farm, at least not solo. Farming instances for stigmas is all we have. If that gets taken away, I honestly don't know how to progress anymore. That said, I would agree with raising drop rates, especially on Haramel stigmas. I've done about 20 full clears and haven't seen one yet.
  17. Yep. GF devs said that they discussed with Korea and tried to get it changed, but Korea refused. They also said that discussion will remain open and that they'll monitor the situation post launch, but personally I think that if Korea wasn't willing to adapt it for the launch patch, they're definitely not going to put work into changing it later. EU is stuck with no loot, just like NA. Only the effects will be far worse on a fresh server where noone has anything.
  18. A lot of the tradeable greens seem to no longer drop, especially in the tursin area. They probably got hit by the world loot nerf I did find the blue tunic and the blue staff though, so those at least still exist.
  19. There's no point in simply not paying. As long as you're still playing, you are content for other players who do pay. The only way to boycott is to uninstall.
  20. The problem with this is that in a typical F2P model (which Aion is not, but in general) the percentage of people spending money is low, and the percentage of people spending a lot of money (also known as "whales" or "the people that pay for the game") is extremely low. Think of 1%. That means that even if you can band together with 99% of the players and boycott the cash shop, as long as that 1% keeps spending, you achieve nothing.
  21. Drop bug. You don't need to fuse weapon while leveling though, the first weapon you need to fuse is 55 TAC really. But the drop bug makes it hard to get kinah for sure. If you want to have kinah while leveling your first char, you need to play blue quests, and be smart about the broker (sell valuable manastones etc). But really, this game has over 1,000 blue quests. It's kinda funny that people play like 5 of those and then complain about not having kinah.
  22. Siel's aura setup is so bad. It's like they have learned nothing from the past 15 years of F2P games. Correct way to do it: - no more free Siel's every day - players without Siel's can gather at reduced speed, get 100% XP, 100% AP, 50% kinah and have no loot quality restriction Numbers are adjustable, but you get the point. Game should be completely playable for free, while Siel's should have multipliers that are just juicy enough for people to want it. You'd get much more players that way. But clearly NC couldn't care less about the state of the NA server, so what does it even matter at this point.
  23. ... what I did 6 kromede's trial runs and got 2 celestial armors, on top of some blue world drop armors, and blue armors from the bosses specific to the instance. Oh, and 2 kaliga keys for gold weapons. Haramel drops you Haramel armors nearly 100% of the time too. The drop problem is real, but omg do people exaggerate about it on these forums.
  24. This is true, but even if it's 50/50, it would be a disaster for the server if they all left. Think of the broker, for example. It already suffers from low trade on most items and is often completely out of many items. Cut the playerbase in half and this issue will get a lot worse.
