My note for the longest time was "Getting to 5 Star one AP at a time". Destroying their kisks and then killing them before they could put another one down was the highlight of my day.
  2. A Knife in the Heart

The allied NPCs kill extremely slowly. Super super slowly. If you went into the instance and maybe afked for 15 to 20 minutes, -maybe- those NPCs would kill all the quest mobs.

@Arhangelos-KT I did exactly that. I would gather around the Desert Garrison on my geared level 50 and kill every twink and every kisk I could find each morning while I had my coffee. It was a promise I made myself after surviving the hell that was leveling. If I couldn't find any twinks, I would set up a private store next to the rift portal exit saying, "You won't be killing any babies this morning." Twinks were cancer. I never saw one attack another twink. Ever.
  4. A Knife in the Heart

Did you try logging in and out to see if the quest mobs spawn? I don't think you can abandon that quest and restart it. If it allows you to abandon that quest, try that and then login and out and see if the quest pops up again. Did you take your helper NPC with you? If you didn't, go back to her and pick her up. You need her to complete the questline. If all else fails, you can try to contact support.

If you want "The Old Aion" back and then say you "aren't into PvP", I am not sure you remember "The Old Aion". Aion at launch was a gank fest. There was perma rifting and twinks galore. There was no magic resist. There was no remove shock. So you were perma-stunned and/or feared until you died. Once you were at NTC level, if you so much as stepped a toe out of town, your ass belonged to twinks in full gold 30e who tore into you like you were wearing a mix of greens and whites.. which you were. It's funny that you say you missed the Desert Garrison. Never was there a more retched hive of death and tears as that place. Remember trying to do Killing for Castor? And the twinks would come rolling over those sand dunes, stun you, kill you and then run off to the next leveler all while laughing happily and calling you rubbish. Yeah. Those were the good old days! Let's bring those days back. Everyone enjoyed them.. especially the non-PvPers.
  6. Serious question

If there is still roleplay, it's very underground. I remember days when you would go to the bars in Sanctum/Pandae and find groups of players roleplaying there. But those areas were closed off when the main cities were downsized. Also, in an effort to make leveling easier and more streamlined, many areas were removed from the game. Those areas were good rp areas. Lastly, there used to be a difference between the base story for Elyos and Asmodians. During the streamlining of the leveling process, the storylines were made identical. So there is no difference between an Asmodian and an Elyos. All racial features (skin color, claws, manes, skins, etc) have all been removed. Most roleplayers that I knew have moved on.
  7. Enchanting

I don't believe we have a fail-stack system in our enchanting. A fail-stack system basically means that on your character, the more times you fail in a row, the higher chance your next enchant will succeed. BDO has fail-stacks and there players purposely fail on a crap piece of gear before attempting to enchant the piece they actually want to enchant. It's a feature of the game. If Aion has fail-stacks, it's never been stated. As @Arhangelos-KT stated, what we have is an algorithm that is supposed to mimic randomness, but is based on some seed value. I don't know what that seed value is. But what I can say is that it doesn't feel random. It certainly feels like some characters (even characters on the same account) seem "luckier" than others. Players have believed that the time of day can effect a character's luck. Players have also believed that where you are on the server effects the character's luck. Other theories include what your character is wearing and what they are doing and what your last /roll values are and their names or their creation dates, etc. For all we know, these things could all be part of the seed value. I have also wondered about the RNG of drops, especially over the last few patches where the drop rates in instances have been so low. How is is possible that a character gets all their new gear in a week and another character is a year into a patch and still only has a piece or two. That shouldn't be possible, but it happens.
  8. The Abyss

It's not wiped out.. it's a block of ice. Remember this lady?
  9. Cheater_KT

  10. The Abyss

Lore-wise the rest of the abyss, aside from Divine, is frozen over. So it's there, it just isn't survivable at this moment in time in the story. So this explains why mechanically we can't access those areas.
  11. Cheater_KT

Was this sent to Support? Even they should be able to see that this is a hack.
  12. NC Soft at 3E 2020

Interesting. Though, let's be honest. This has less than nothing to do with Aion. But then again.. NCSoft going to E3 has less than nothing to do with Aion. It's all about the bazangas.
  13. Weekly Server Maintenance - February 26, 2020

Ahh. That. The last time we had a GP reset it was after 2 months as well. Figured it was the new feature and not a bug.
  14. Returning player

The only way your accounts were deleted is if you played before the migration (account name) to the new login system (e-mail). This was probably.. 5 or 6 years ago? Maybe 7? And even then before anything was deleted, there was at least a year of requesting players migrate with incentives to do so and then emails sent to all account emails stating that unless you migrated your account to the new login system, it would be deleted. So it's sad if that's you, but you can't really blame NCSoft for that. As for the changes to crafting, you are a year+ late and definitely a couple of $$s short on that complaint. Yeah. It blows. But meh. Games change over time. If you were going to come back and expect the game to have stood still in the past 5+ years, you will definitely be disappointed. And if you came back after 5+ years and the game -hadn't- changed, you would have every right to complain about that, too. Games are supposed to evolve or they would be boring as all hell. Bottom line.. the game went on without you. If it's changed too much and you can't get into it again, then that's the way things are. That's just life.

What's wrong with arenas and GP?
  16. NC Soft at 3E 2020

I doubt Aion people would be hopeful enough to show up to tell anyone anything.
  17. Jumped Character Missing things

The Risiel set isn't "cheating". So this whole example is pretty bunk.

  19. Proper way to warn someone in violation of tos!

Right. So here's the thing. I haven't the first idea who you are. As far as I know I have never once seen or heard from you in game. Never run an instance. Never even seen you name in chat. I don't even know if you are Asmo or Elyos. So I couldn't care less what you say to anyone. You aren't a part of my in game world in any way, shape or form and from your post, I am pretty damn glad of the fact. If you post on the public forum, however, you are openly inviting anyone who reads here to respond to your teenage angst. You just admitted that you "went off" on someone with "colorful lanuage". End of story. You deserve whatever punished you got. Apparently it wasn't too severe because here you are on the forums crying big salty tears. Dry your eyes, little soldier. Put on those big boy panties. Take responsibility for what you did and move on.
  20. Proper way to warn someone in violation of tos!

So.. In all seriousness, what did you do that only got you a warning? Pretty sure whatever it was, you had to know at the time it was iffy. And you have no right to know who turned you in. How can you even think that would be appropriate? If I turn you in for offensive language, how would it be fair for you to then harass me for being offended by what you said? Big boy panties time. Just get over it. And use capital letters and paragraphs, please. Stream of consciousness is kind of cool in a novel, but annoying as all poop on the forums.
  21. Is World Boss Stealing an Offense?

That made me laugh. Scientifically, evolution is neither good nor evil. If the state of the world made those people evolve into their current state, how is that "beastly" and why are they now "creatures" and not simply people? If you walk around the starter areas, you don't see the Asmodian people acting like animals. They live in houses and farm and mine and sell goods to one another. They fall in love and offer their would be girlfriends flowers. They admire beauty. They care for their children. This attitude right here is why I always imagined that first contact after the split of the Tower of Eternity as going like this.. Elyos come in contact with the Asmodians. Both stop and stare at one another. Asmodians: OMG! Is that you, Joe?! I can't believe this! We thought you were dead! Hey, guys! It's Joe! Don't you remember? He's the guy that used to date my sist----- Elyos: MONSTERS! *shrieks like a little girl* KILL ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! What it actually should be is that if a boss spawns naturally, it's free for all. But if a boss is spawned by a legion, their faction respects that it's their boss and leaves them alone. If they want to be helpful, they will PvP the other faction if it shows up trying to take the boss. That's because in the end, factions should support each other since in the end they need to rely on one another in sieges. Ofc that's not what actually happens. And Asmodians are not the bad guys. Far from it. Keep in mind that the original lore had the Asmodians all about hope and the future. While the Elyos lore was all about the past and betrayal. Which of those would be "evil"? Also.. **steal
  22. Leveling: 1->80 in one minute

He should start a new ticket and ask for a supervisor. Explain calmly what happened and ask for one of the characters to remain boosted and any real money spent on the deleted characters returned. In this case, I wouldn't roll over.
  23. Is Aion Dead?

@Vantheria-DN really has the right of it. Aion has been dying since the day it launched and there have been many points since then when players have proclaimed it "dead". And yet.. here we all still are. I think the point is that there are less and less of us. The population of this game is steadily declining. The profits from this game are steadily declining. I would say that the attention paid to it by the staff is steadily declining too, but it can't get much less attention that it does right now. We do get these odd blips of attention.. just enough to keep diehards hopeful that some day soon things will change. But if we are all honest with ourselves, we know this isn't going to happen. The game is free to play. You can do anything and wear anything and use all aesthetics without spending a dime. If you devote your days to Aion and know all the tricks and ins and outs and you get deep into a really good and geared legion, you can even become competitive. If you are willing to spend a lot of real money, you can become competitive. Otherwise, if you just enjoy the nostalgia and don't mind being mediocre, then come on back. The only thing you risk is your time.
  24. Leveling: 1->80 in one minute

There are many people who claimed that the EC exploit was all NCSoft's fault and so no one should be banned for taking advantage of it. That's idiocy. BUT.. that doesn't mean that all exploits are not actually all NCSoft's fault. This one was. No player should be banned for this. They also should not be able to keep more than one of those boosted characters. Support should just ask each of them which character they want to keep and delete the others. If someone spent real money on the characters, they should have that refunded. Ofc this would take understanding the game and there is a lack of that around NCSoft's Support.
  25. Is World Boss Stealing an Offense?

I wouldn't recommend that. First, I can tell you with 100% certainty what Support will do. They will thank you for the report, tell you they will investigate and inform you that for privacy reason, they can't tell you the outcome. Then they will take your report and shitcan it. Support wouldn't know a hack if it wore a big funny hat and stood on their desks singing Yankee Doodle Dandy. Second, it is 100% possible for super geared people to not only take agro from an alliance of undergeared players, but they can easily outdps them while laughing all the way to the bank. What you should take away from this experience is that this is the way Aion is. Players can be really helpful and wonderful. They will give you the shirt of their backs. Players can also be toxic bags of excrement. If you aren't "them", you are less than nothing and taking things from you is their right. The only thing you can do is decide which one you will be.
