Save Aion

1 ADVERTISE  Nobody knows classic is a thing

2 Lower the cost of npc items and services This is probably aion's last hurrah before the Atreia goes dark and its Aether dissipate in to nothing, So Armsfusion. skill books, Soul sickness, even the skins  and basic motions should be no where in the ballpark that they are.  Breaking new players/returning vets piggy banks is insane.

3 Fix the limitans on the Luna store every dye option and classic store skins and pets should be there. You should lower some of the prices but eh, you perorally wont even though more smaller transactions usually equals out more money.

4 This is a big one let the damn trail players collect white quest items its hard to get old friends back in with well you only get an hour a day then you can sit on your thumbs and do nothing. You have to let them quest but miss out on greens and up. help let that addiction set in.

This are just a few notes if the response to these are positive i have more.

I have played Aion off and on again since 2010 there is a lot you do right. But with all the love of an addict there are a few things you have got to touch up I want this game to last as long as possible and being down to only 2 servers one main and one classic isn't a good sign.

Not a troll, not looking for laughs, or strife. Not sure what I stated you find Trollish but ok. If you can state a way to help bring back players and help returning by all means state it. If you can do better I would gladly take my post down and give support to yours. My points are just are my conclusion to my experience and the experiences of my small band of companions  since coming back and joining classic. If my name you find trollish that was a registration error. I'll be able to fix it when the name change becomes optional again.

19s, Found Your submission to be helpful and inciteful. Thanks!

Just loaded up, and still have the live version from many many years ago.  A small group from a long not lost guild/legion came along as well.

This "classic version " has allure.

  1. Kinah cap at 1.3m was a change for classic which is bad.
  2. Balic material drop rate nerf is a change for classic but that is also a bad change.
  3. The nerf to how much items sell for by 4x is also another bad change.
  4. The nerf to the items you can loot with siels aura was another bad change.
  5. The drop to golds in the non PvP zones another bad change.

You notice how the trend here is the bits they change is the bits people dislike. There are other issues that ruin Aion's appeal. Example: Many people who have updated graphics cards struggle to get the download to start if they have previously had Aion retail installed on their current PC. There is a specific file you have to find in your PC in which support do not even know about to fix this issue so asking the support team does not help since they do not know how to fix it. I only found it because i got rid of every single NCsoft file on my PC then tried to re-download it.

Then you got the whole moving your mouse lag where you have to keep closing your Nvidia container to fix it.

When wanting to get the 90% back in to the game you have to cater to the 90%. Aion classic does not cater to them so they will never get those players in the game. Some will say that is a good thing others will say that is a bad thing. Having 2 servers for the region is fine if they can sustain keeping the servers open for those who enjoys the game then that is all they need to accomplish. The problem is Aion retail back in 2010 did cater to the 90% so that is the issue.

I agree, lowering npc prices would be a good start. Reaching level 40 and being too poor to buy skill books because they cost several hundred thousand kinah isn't the most fun thing.

Maybe we as a community could help too by putting together some guides for returning players. There isn't much information out there on how to progress in classic, yet it's a much different game from what retail was before due to the changes that have been made + considerations for the current low population.

As someone who recently came back to the game, I think it'd help others come back if there's more positivity and useful info out there. I also think event rewards like the free 40e piece from a while back or the recent leveling event boxes should have been announced more prominently so that people see an incentive to log into the game. People who are on the fence and lurking from afar need to see incentives to log in and try the game and we don't have a lot of that right now!

Yea getting low level players to grind some tier 1 balic materials is a good way to get them some kinah since they well pretty well. Not exactly sure how well they sell but i sold some for 100k-250k less than 2 months ago.
