Weapon (Staff) attack stat is confusing

There are combat dummies to test weapon and skill damage around most big cities in the game.

Go and find one and do tests with different weapons and you will quickly discover what the different stats like attack and crit do for auto attack and skills.

Example: Tahabata's Staff - Weapon Damage 204~308 +45

  • The white numbers are the base weapon damage
    • Random integer between the min (left) and max (right) numbers with each attack
    • Gear enchantment and power shards add damage to base weapon damage
      • +10 enchantment: 234~338 +45
      • +15 enchantment: 249~353 +45
    • Percentage-based physical attack buffs use this base damage to calculate bonus damage (example damage increases are without power shards)
      • Invincibility Mantra I Effect (+15%) +30~46
      • Word of Inspiration I (+20%) +40 ~61
      • Rage Spell I (+15%) +30~46
      • Yustiel's Protection I (+100%) +204~308
      • Staff Mastery (Advanced Staff Training) (+5% ~ +25% depends on skillbook level) I: +10~15 V: +51~77
      • Base power damage bonus (Power - 100)%
        • Chanter: +10% on ground, +20% while flying (with passive skill)
  • The yellow numbers with the plus sign is bonus damage
    • Not affected by percentage-based attack buffs
    • +Attack manastones +1 +2 +3 +4 +5
    • +Attack buffs
      • Victory Mantra +10 +15 +20 +25
      • Boost Physical Attack +7 +14
    • Damage from physical attack skills (examples, see link for other skills)
      • +2 Hallowed Strike V  +280
      • Booming Assault III +805
      • +9 Meteor Strike IV +341
      • +1Inescapable Judgment II +486
      • Mountain Crash II +1,460

Ok so to understand what  I'm triggering when I click "booming assault III" 

{ [( bwd 204~308 +45) + (%buff.) + power shard] x  (skill 805 + Tot attack manastnes + other gear attack stats) }  x crit multiplier

I'm intentionally ignoring enemy s defence Stat and divisories

Total Weapon Damage = Weapon Damage + Enchant Damage + Power Shard

Skill Damage before adjustments = (Total Weapon Damage * (power / 100 + percentage buffs %) + skill damage + additive damage) * (1 + movement modifier) * (1 + OneTimeBoostSkillAttack) - (defense / 10)

  • Movement modifier
    • Forward: 1.1x
  • OneTimeBoostSkillAttack
    • Killer's Eye I: 50% / 1 attack skills
    • Focused Shots I: 30% / 5 attack skills

Skill Damage after adjustments = Skill Damage before adjustments * product(All other damage multipliers)

  • All other damage multipliers
    • Crit multiplier, if skill is a critical
    • Parry (0.6x)
    • Block (1 - (shield damage reduction + 5%))
    • Net PvP Attack (Your PvP Attack - enemy PvP Defense, if both you and enemy are player characters)

booming assault III, assuming you have no +attack from other equipment beside staff, and your staff is not enchanted, and you are standing still

  • ((204~308 + power shard) * (110 / 100 + 0.25) + (skill 805 + Tot attack manastnes + 45)) - (defense / 10)) * crit multiplier
