January 6th, 2020 Update:

As of today, I will no longer be updating or maintaining the game files, nor will I be checking in on the forums very often, soon to be at all. It's been fun helping you all out over the last several years, but it's time for me to retire because I no longer play Aion nor do I plan on returning to Aion.

Thank you, all, for all the help, service, support, and love over the last ten years.

Old potential fix was getting the broken folder/file directly from another player, but I'm not going to pay to maintain my collection of Aion files any longer, since I can't update them, anyway.

Ok if you have connection which doesnt allow p2p connection, try to find a VPN for JUST downloading patches (those words for ppl who stays in student dorms) E02018 is most ppl's nightmare errorcode and it appears when you have some connection/firewall issues which doesnt let to use your connection properly for ncsoft. there was a some solutions like direct adding ncsoft's address to HOSTS in system32 thingie or VPNS. But if you re not in student dorms, just send a ticket with ncsoft game advisor results and they will help to fix your problem. If u re in, as i said. Use a VPN for only patchs (close vpn and restart launcher after patching completed) its still risky cause VPN can give you already blacklisted IP and that leads to account restriction so use VPN in most desperate times. (Dont ask me what am i write. i will edit this later when i am fully awake)

I am currently having the same E02018 error message. I have repeatedly restarted the Launch Updater, and every time the total download size has gotten smaller, but now i can not get past this error...

noticed that part of my error details are different than previous post..
 

my error reads:
E02018
DP_G17_416_161/022023ae
Patch/Zip/objects/PC2/if/texture/Texture_Textures_000.pak.zip

and the send report file info is as follows:

thank you, cheesecake. I would use try this fix if this was still my problem... I tried the Updater once more today, and instead of getting stuck on /objects   issue, my updater was acting like a 9 stage installer...everything seemed to be fine, almost 90 percent done and i get another error.   only this one is E02013  and it is a sounds issue...

Are you running out of space on your hard drive (<100GB)? I can't find any info on that particular error.

Once again, thank you, cheescake. Yes, it seems I had not noticed my useless file hoarding. I did a little clean up and ran Updater and am currently able to log in to game...  thank you once again.

I think you need this file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BykLPkSQSO45R3NzWGVnWmVvcXc

Extract it to the Aion main folder, not $Patch$ or Zip or any other folder, and then try running the launcher again. :)

Let it patch again, and it should be all right! You might want to file repair after the game is downloaded, but the Sounds folder isn't mission critical the way something like L10N and data folders are. :)

Are you downloading on WiFi or another unreliable connection? That can sometimes cause E02018 errors.

Hi guys! I wanted to start playing again, but i got that e02018 error : / First it happend at 13% of stage 6 and i tried everything- disabling firewall and antivirus, repairing files multiple times, reinstalling but now im stuck at 70% of stage 6 again and don't know what to do now T_T Details of the error are like these: 

DNL_G17_0_165/a8cdc25b

Patch/Zip/Sounds/music/Pak_003.pak.z05

Moreover, these multiple errors I encountered were always with Pak_003.

Okay, you both are going to test something for me since this didn't get fixed last night. <3

 

This first one may not work, according to preliminary test results:

2. Extract the contents to Aion/Sounds/music folder.

4. Extract the contents to the Aion folder itself.

5. Try running the launcher again. It might make you file repair.

 

 

If that doesn't work, try:

2. Move your original Aion/Sounds folder to your desktop.

3. Extract the contents of the zip file to the Aion folder, so now you'll have a new Aion/Sounds.

Optional if you already did this before:

5. Extract the contents to the Aion folder itself.

6. Try running the launcher again. It might make you file repair.

 

 

If either of those don't work, let me know, all right? I messaged Cyan again about it, but it's, like, 7am Saturday where he's at, lol.
