The rest of the update went just fine. When I first hit play, I crashed as the splash screen. Once I restarted the launcher and hit play again, I was able to get into the game. Don't know the cause for the installer not being able to download these files and a month prior I was able to download and install aion and never really saw this issue before in the 6+ years I have played aion. Only major difference between now and then is I have since moved to ATT fiber from Cox cable and the server merges occurred. Also, if this issue cannot be fixed by Ncsoft, they should provide the full installation in a zip file for download or make the full install available from their ftp so people can download specific files. Zezo-KT Posted October 22, 2017 Share Posted October 22, 2017 It's actually hilarious how the support has no clue about this error, it has been around I believe since August, thats when you created this thread, and they still havent noticed or fixed it, I sent a ticket to the support a couple days ago asking for help, since I had tried everything to get my client to download until a friend told me about this thread and how it was the only way he managed to download aion again was only after he used the files provided by Cheesecake... I knew NC didn't care much about Aion anymore, but not to the point of not having a fix for their own downloader, I wonder how many people gave up playing the game because they couldn't download the client, how many people tried to come back to the game because of merge and couldn't because the downloader is broken... I'm just speechless... Also, thank you Cheesecake, for providing us the files that are corrupted in their end... at least thes ones I couldn't download were Stage 6, Sound files. Worse...it's been going off and on since January (that's when I created the original thread on the old forums). Their tech team are the ones that need to refresh the files and stuff, but it wasn't until late Friday that I had the evidence that it wasn't just a downloading on WiFi problem and was an NCsoft problem. By then, it was too late. I'm not sure why this happens after some maintenances, and it looks like this one started after the fix for the Windows 10 bug. Edit: And maybe random funny for me. One of the times this happened, Support started linking my thread to people in their ticket responses while we all waited for tech to fix the problem, lol. Glad I could help!
