Aion Recommended PC Specs for Evergale

Recommended Posts

So as the title says, what's the recommended PC specs to run Evergale on High without itching.

I bought a Dell XPS with these specs thinking it would suffice but it didn't for Evergale in particular:

16GB DDR4-2400MHz

512G PCIe SSD

NVIDIA GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5

Intel Core i7-7700HQ

Don't you find it odd that even the newest hardware has trouble with a nearly decade old game?

Your PC is fine. It's just that Aion is poorly optimized for everything.

What issues are you having specifically?

I haven't been following all the newest hardware, but your machine should be capable of handling modern games at Medium to High settings without trouble. Are the issues only popping up at Evergale Canyon and no where else? Is it just Aion, or are all your games affected equally?

Is it a laptop? If so, report back with temperatures under heavy load. You might just be thermal throttling.

Well, regarding  what you just said - the key word is "MODERN" - Aion is not a modern game. Even though the PC above has some decent specs (although we don't have all of them),  Aion's game engine is extremely old. Just look at the current version of cryengine and what Aion was coded on, you'll likely be depressed. Even better, look at the contents of your "send logs" and guess what is usually the cause.

Your suggestions make a lot of sense, unfortunately even with a decent computer you'll likely have to run Aion with some adjustments to your graphics  settings to tone down some of the effects  in order to get a better return on your performance.

Yea, I'm aware of that, and that's the point: Aion is so poorly optimized that even the latest and greatest hardware struggles with it. I mentioned it in my first reply: it's most likely not the hardware and just an issue with the game itself.

Nyali-DN

I just got a new laptop myself with very similar specs as yours, @Maleith-KT , and I haven't had issues at all. I'm also running two clients. So what kind if issues have you experienced? o:

It is a laptop @Forgotten-DN, @Nyali-DN The only issue I've had is doing Evergale when I'm around mass players apart from that everything else is fine. It just itches in terms of the game stopping for a split second to a second at every move. I do have all the settings set to High, maybe I need to just tone it down if am gonna do EC. I'll try it sometime soon again.

Unfortunately, the i7 XPS is actually notorious for thermal throttling, which explains the above.

There are workarounds: the easiest and most obvious is to play at lower settings. Also try to ensure better cooling by playing with a cooling pad or manually ramping up your fans.

There's also this: GPU re-paste and Undervolting. I don't advise you do these either of these unless you've had prior experience doing so or your warranty has already expired.
