Gallium-DN
Has anyone ever had Aion close on them because of a security feature? The only two programs I had running on my computer were Aion and Candy Crush Soda Saga. After a few hours of playing, both games closed on me and I had a popup window say something along the lines of the program that was running was closed because of behavior typical of malware or trojans and that I should scan my computer before re-loading the game. I can't remember the exact wording, but there was a picture of a detective on the window with a spyglass. Anyone familiar with this?
Aly-DN
Yes. Aion has been detected as a virus. It's a false positive.
Cheesecake-DN
What antivirus are you running? And it sounds more like XIGNCODE had a false trigger (the detective with a spyglass) than your antivirus.
Gallium-DN
I sure hope you are right, Cheesecake. The thought had occurred to me. I use AVG antivirus.
Cheesecake-DN
Do a scan with AVG anyway, but you should be just fine.
Gallium-DN
Well, I just looked into XIGNCODE3 and lo and behold it seems you were right! Found this image in google and it looks almost identical to what I saw: Maybe it thought that silly Candy game was suspicious. Thanks for the tip! (and yes I immediately used my AVG scanner, I'm super protective of my computer)
