I've tried to collect my thoughts, and I'm about ready to start bringing my questions, concerns, and complaints to the BNS forums and subreddit because god knows the Aion team doesn't pay attention to us here. You said on stream that there are meetings for Aion- I have my doubts. This event was a pretty horrible PR move. Your playerbase is already unhappy. It's not the worst event ever, even considering how lame the 6.0 events have been. But you absolutely should not have named it End of the World. First of all, it's not the end of the world in the way 4.8 and 6.0 were; the only things deleted were two instances. It's a lazy lazy name. And we all have very strong associations with what an "End of the World" event entails; everyone was at least hoping for another very generous event that would help prepare us for the next patch and encourage progress with our PvP gear. Getting another run-of-the-mill lousy 6.X event is expectation subversion of the worst kind. What were you all thinking? Like, we already know that you and the other team members don't have any clue what goes on in other regions. This has been stated outright in regards to things like EU'S Gold Sand Shop changes after their initial GP reset. But you all need to start paying attention. Before 6.0 dropped, everyone was saying not to bother with compensation or crafted gear, because the Genesis Crystal gear is superior. I was upset to lose my multiple sets as a cleric, and contemplated making just two for PvP. Joke's on me, because I haven't even finished one set. You know why? Because every other region has more generous means of acquiring Fighting Spirit Fragments. Of course people in EU, RU, TW, and KR would say Winged Champion is garbage; they all get to invest in Cloud War/Firebrand equipment. Their events and quests give them Fighting Spirit Fragments! Their open world loot rates for crafting materials weren't nerfed to hell and back! NA has yet to experience even a single event that gives Fighting Spirit Fragments, and this is why the only people in full Ultimate gear are in at least a mix of Winged Champion, crafted, and Cloud War/Firebrand- if not full Winged Champion. And these players will continue being leagues ahead of the people who don't have compensation gear, because they will be converting their sets into the new 7.0 gear before the rest of us. This event was a chance to bridge that gap. It was the chance. And now it's gone, because I'm pretty sure someone is holding the dear sweet moms of NCWest at gunpoint saying, "Don't you nyerking dare give those NA players any skins, transparent transformation scrolls, transformation contracts, Legendary/Ultimate PvP stones, or Fighting Spirit Fragments- or else!!" I am joining others in their protest; I have no intention of renewing my prestige at this point, because the work of the NCSoft team for Aion is increasingly sloppy, with no awareness of the game's climate or care for the playerbase. Im a Software Architect in one of the biggest enterprises in Brazil, and sometimes I am into 5 or 6 project at the same time, dont tell me you guys cant handle 2 or 3 people to work at least half of their day with Aion only. I dont know how many developers NC West has, or how many time the person ahead of this game invest some time with it, but its totally possible to give MORE CARE to the game. Just open the finantial charts of NC of this year, or of the last years... Aion with his almost 10 years of existance, still gives a reasonable money to NC, instead of Blade and Souls, which with 3 to 4 years are into a constant down in sales. Who analyze the charts and decide that a new game faded to the death is better than another one which never let you guys down? Its so sad for us to see that the people who was supposed to be with us, working with us to make the game better, are almost 100% engaged into another game, and arent doing anything to at least lie to us trying to tell like "dont be afraid we still with you guys.. nyerk!". We are feeling abandoned, dumb, powerless, unmotivated... if the game continue to loose population gonna be because of all the staff, not because the game, or because the players.. because if theres someone who love Aion more than anything the last 10 years are the players. Until now, NC still doesn't wanna close this gear gap which was created when they had decided to give out compensated gears and to go with the same enchantment rate with KR aion. Hear me out on this, I'm okay with this enchantment rate ONLY IF we have the SAME resources as korean players getting all the enchantment stones, fragments etc from in-game, bcm or events. Sadly, the means of getting the pvp enchantment stones are really limited. it's pretty cheap to get PVP stones on korean bcm and our bcm features retarded $5 per ancient pvp enchantment stone pricing ( with this price and this shitty rate, casino slot machines will probably give you more bang with your bucks.). Many players were able to enchant their gears was because they had reserves of omegas and temperings from the previous patch. How much do people actually need any of this? How can we make this better for our players?" So we are always a day late and a dollar short. The people who were participating in the event have been ripped off of there cool downs and even with this change (being the 2 box drop as opposed to 1) there are people who still refuse to do the event. I'm not quite sure how 2 boxes and 2 scrolls is suffice compensation for 10 total instance cooldowns, not to mention its for one character only. Emergency maintenance is probably the most appropriate action. I think its only fair that if you make a mistake when determining event rewards, either give justifiable compensation, or just simply start it over. I ran a total of 21 combined. 2 more boxes isn't enough. When I made a ticket they told me there was no issue with it and I wouldn't be compensated. I'm not asking for anything special. And now, after countless people complain, you make event materials a bit easier to acquire, but what about all the people WHO DIDN'T SIT ON THEIR ASS AND COMPLAIN? You've effectively screwed us, WHO DIDN'T COMPLAIN, over by not resetting the server instance runs because now cry baby forum posters can get event materials easier than those who tried from the beginning and lost out on the extra compensation. But yea @Cyan is a bad CM sorry - it is what it is ~ you are the face of Aion and its not doing good & the community hasn't been heard since the previous CM 6 years ago - usually when shit is this bad they fire the manager and get a new one.....but some how you things are still fine on your end... You keep screwing people over with events..there's I'm guessing around 200 people on at any given time on each server...and I think that's overshooting the number by quite a bit. This game failed in the America's....come to terms with it and close down. painter/vandal whatever its called isn't going to save it. All the rich people will be super geared quickly..and it will be similar to when the gunslinger came out...and they burned x-forms with crap bm gear. People complained ..and then they got nerfed...look at how many people actually play gunslinger now...same thing will happen with painter/vandal...and more people will quit. I realize many, many people have alts on several accounts, but not everyone does. To make it tradeable on your account is screwing those who chose to specialize in 1 or 2 classes and not all 8. I'm with Van on this one...I was one of the people who was on early running instances to try and figure out the details of the event because NCSoft didn't post them until 1pm. It feels pretty bad now that they doubled the rewards even though I was up early running things to have a grasp of the situation. I was farming this event and reseting CoE/Mirash like crazy since the first day and then I opened 6 boxes today and I got 5 gems from 4 boxes on my main and 2 boxes gave me 10 gems, right. So I decided to open more boxes on my alts and got 5 gems from each box. Seriously... what's wrong with you guys? It doesn't motivate anyone to keep playing this game, I believe no one in this forum wants Aion to die in a near future but seems like you guys don't respect this community and don't really care about failing again and again with us, loyal and old players in special. Good luck if you are still farming this event and wasting your time, dedication and even money and congratulations for disappoint the Aion community again with another failure.
