Plezurenpain-DN
I was reading through the "ultimate chanter guide" and was hoping to get some information that ended up being missing. Stats is mainly what I want to know about. All that the guide said was how much HP you should have for certain things. It didn't tell any other stats that a chanter should be aiming for. Are they a physical attack class or a magical attack class?
Vantheria-DN
Your physical vs magical will depend upon what kind of chanter you are. I am a hybrid build (leaning more toward support), so I use a lot of both -- magical heals and physical dps. There are, I think, three dps magical skills too though. Basically, you will need both cast speed scrolls and attack speed scrolls. Use the cast speed scrolls if you're mostly healing in a group instance and use the attack speed scrolls for soloing and dpsing. The main offensive stats that you'll be looking at are accuracy (regular), critical strike, and attack. To be honest, I've seen a lot of people disagree about what are and are not good numbers for these stats, simply because chanters do so many different things, and people play the class in different ways. (Hopefully some other chanters will come in and give their own opinions, so you'll get lots of ideas.) Many people will say that--for levels 71-73--you'll need at least 1400 critical strike, 1200 attack, and 4200 accuracy. I'm level 72 and am right around or over these numbers, so it's very doable. For levels 74-75, I've seen recommended 1500 critical strike, 1400 attack, and 4500 accuracy. These are all "average player" numbers. Obviously, the more you have, the better you will be. Bryos-DN
Just to clarify, healing skills are not magical, just casted. You wont be healing more if you socket MB.
The Secret Cow Level
The following offensive chanter spells are affected by MB: Infernal Blaze Promise of Earth Effect Pledge of Earth Effect / Oath of Earth Effect Blessing of Wind Effect / Blessing of Wind Smite DoT from Mountain Crash And also your magical damage godstones. Healing skills are affected by Healing Boost instead.
Neleth-KT
Interesting knowledge about chanter,I wonder if it's worth to make crit/mb set for chanter. Will promise of earth effect make up for losing of attack ? and can promise of earth crit ? if they do is it affected by crit or crit spell ? Bryos-DN
It is definitely not worth it, unless you end up choosing to Smite the nyerk out of your targets.
Vantheria-DN
^ I'd like to see that. "I've decided to alternate between auto-attack and Smite. #yolo"

Plezurenpain-DN
Ok I have another question. Since those 6 spells for chanters use MB instead of +attack, are there any hybrid manastones that give MB/Attack?
Bryos-DN
No, there are no Attack or Crit + MB composite manastones. Even if there were, it would be an awful idea. You would be missing on Crit/Attack (depending on the main stat) for the minimal benefits of having more MB. Furthermore, out of all 6 of those abilities, two of them cannot be used at the same tims, one of them is insignificant, one is a stigma you wouldnt really socket oftenly and another one is a skill you would never use in a rotation. So, basically, you would only be truly boosting two skills.

Attack + MB or Crit + MB composite manastones do exist in the game. Attack + MB food are the cheapest fabled food on the broker currently (Attack +14, MB +70, MS +100, Flight Time +20) two of them cannot be used at the same tims Promise of Earth Effect and Pledge of Earth Effect / Oath of Earth Effect one of them is insignificant DoT from Mountain Crash one is a stigma you wouldnt really socket oftenly Blessing of Wind Effect / Blessing of Wind one is a skill you would never use in a rotation Smite So, basically, you would only be truly boosting two skills. The Secret Cow Level
Blessing of Wind Effect / Blessing of Wind is the spell most heavily affected by Magic Boost and Magic Suppression, as it is a magical spell that procs on every attack. It is most effective against common monsters as they have no Magic Suppression. It is less effective against higher grade elite mobs, group instance bosses, and PvP due to their significant MS. (Effective MB = your MB - target's MS, minimum 0, maximum 3200 as of game version 5.6) The final floor 40 boss in Crucible Spire / Tower of Challenge, Witch Modor / Grendal the Witch, have only 350 Magic Suppression, making Blessing of Wind effective against her. For list of Magic Suppression of monsters, check out this spreadsheet.
