So how do we win by not completely losing? Whats the best viable solution that everyone can benefit from? My suggestion would be to avoid the bcm and just add these contracts as rewards via hard mode instances with a decent drop rate percentage to all party members which would actually bring into play some kinda balance and remove the financial strain that those may not be able to afford...Would it be a good idea for each member to receive a legendary contract or 1 to 2 per run to roll on? all ninjas get perma banned ofc...

hard mode and normal seeing as those thats not too geared wont have a problem obtaining the contract...they can even put the ulti in the hard mode and the legendary in the normal and that should be fine with everyone i believe...

p2w concept is only a bad thing if the price is way out the range of the working class man or woman, but im sure if they just set the price that can benefit all it wouldnt be such a bad idea...perhaps its time for everyone to talk about the price and not just decline the idea of it being put on the bcm...50 dollars for a legendary contract? i would pay 50 knowing i can get the xform i desire and not have to worry about rng of getting a green or ancient for the now regular contracts we have...have u ever opened more contracts than ucare to rememebr and got nothing but penguins? lol i know now that i hate penguins! i believe in pay to enjoy your game play and not pay to win at pvp because that is what p2w really means...pte=pay to enjoy the game and p2w=pay to win at pvp...

That is the thing tho. What working class man or woman do you cater for? Those living at home with their parents? Those who are single living alone? Someone living in a shared house? Someone who has a family? $50 a week or a month for you may be not much but some people only subscribe to games and that is it so $15 a month is all they have room for in their budget due to having 3 kids. Being selfish and not thinking of everyone is IMO...well very selfish.

This is why the only option to fix aion is to add play-able options back in to the game. I would rather a game with insanely heavy p2w(Black desert online) but have the end game content/gear achievable and playable by the entire community. Aion has separated its entire community in a genre known for bringing people together.

i do not disagree with what you're saying, but the 50 dollars was just a random number as in i did consider all those factors as i am not rich or even well off myself...You are also correct in your opinion that everything should be obtainable in the game simply because we do have players that have the money to buy w/e they want and only see that as being right...When it comes to these legendary and or ulti contracts, i without question believe that both should be implemented in the game by way of my last post or some other means because p2w options in mmo's should have never been a thing and needs to be removed and i know we will have those that can afford to p2w will say something like its not my fault if i can afford it and others cant...its just like the players with several hundred billions of kinah that does not disagree with high prices simply because they can afford things at w/e price they decide to set gears items and others things at...clearly we know what the problem is,we just need to find the best solution to cater to everyone rich and poor in and out of the game...

This as an idea in theory is good but if you think about it what instances do you add it to? IDD? PFHM? or all hard mode instances or maybe even some easy mode instance? All easy mode instances can be solo'ed so for the most part the idea of legendary contract for running an instance would be insanely fast progression. To fast that people would not appreciate finally unlocking the ultimate contract. Right now it is to long but doing what you said would negate the progression behind it.

The old system where white contracts were dropping every run if not 4/5 runs was great. I personally i finished the entire yellow contracts with-out events. I genuinely felt like ultimate contracts were an actually obtainable back then. These dropped for everyone in the instance as well. Do they even drop in Eso? do they even drop in Udas? These are the instances that replaced CoE/Mirash in terms of it being 3 player/1 player content that everyone could run.

This is an event Korea got. As an actual feature of the game this would be great. As an event it makes players go OMG i have to spend or ill miss out and that is just stupid. If the old contract system was in the game + this got added in to all tiers as an actual game feature rather than an event it would be an actual amazing feature that would suit the entire community.

3 white 6 combines = 1 green

3 green 6 combines = 1 yellow

3 yellow 6 combines = 1 legendary

3 legendary 6 combines = 1 ultimate contract

This would be a play-able feature with-out having to remove them from the BCM since most pay for the convenience of not having to farm it themselves.

Ah, so it's back to the "p2w is bad", this isn't even the issue, the issue is RNG. Players who spend are nyerked far harder than free players by RNG given we're actually throwing money into the game where as F2P only spends time. It's not like every ultimate transform is actually a high spending player - if anything, many of them are alt accounts that were sold because they got lucky on RNG and later became "top accounts".

Personally have thrown thousands of dollars into this game over the years, yet am not max geared and never got anywhere close to max. Aware of players who spent a fraction of this amount and or ran 10+ alts nonstop for events and had gotten max gear. Why? Because RNG said so.

Frankly would rather have paid for some certainty than the current, let's throw a few hundred into the game for no return - like buying 30x ultimate stones ($200) and ending with 1, repeat 1, +15 item from 4x +12 because RNG said "nyerk you". Recall buying tempering solutions/omegas, tempering event for 65 daeva event? $2500 spent without ever passing +6. Some F2P players got +10 for completely free. As for our suggestion to sell legendary contracts in the 6400 BCC pack? Yes, it would be ideal to at least have a guaranteed legendary for spending $80 vs an ancient and a crap ton of white contracts.

Players who spend fund the game, it would be nice if NC treated us less like a cash cow. It's worse than a casino betting table in some ways. Events are for people with lots of time, some of us have no time but we have money. That's not a reason to screw us for as much as possible though.

Healingsquid, i understand what you mean and the solution for adding the legendary in the normal and ulti in the hard would just be an easy fix as to make the mobs and boss in the normal mode harder to take down with full sov gear +15, and as for which instances that would drop the ulti would ofc be the endgame instance like benerk estate or the 12 to 24 person instance...Delessa, this is why they should add them to the instances and not on the bcm because if they did that then more ppl would come back n play the game rather than being turned away due to having to spend money with bad rng apart from actually playing the game with a higher chance of obtaining the contracts and not feel bad for spending as u stated thousand of dollars with no result...i do not spend money on this game because from what i can tell most of whats in the bcm is geared towards pvp and i dont care for open world pvp but i do respect those that live for it...bcm just dont have anything i want as far as armor skins, weapon skin, and wings as those are the only thing i desire for personal self...

Cash cows are people who justify spending despite being disgruntled with a product. If you spend and you are disgruntled with Aion as a product then you are a cash cow.

Note: I said Aion as a product not Aion as the idea of Aion and what we use to have.

RNG has been a staple of this game since release. If you are disgruntled with its core game feature and still spending then you are a cash cow.

here i am now wanting to obtain an old skin like the ultimate divine pandora armor but its no longer in the game or even on the sand shop where all old gear skin should be already seeing as some of us just like the old gear skins...in order for me to use this pandora skin i would have to destroy my dark talon armor for the skin and as much as i dont favor pvp i still at times get the sets so i guess i have a decision to make...

ncsoft, if sacrificial power is now a passive, shouldn't it act like bestial fury and not require a stigma slot? My suggestion would be to remove this +9 and 15 stigma requirement and add some extensive but doable quest chain to open them up...i mean i have 14 or so toons across 2 accounts and only my ranger has about 2 +9 stigmas and the other toons is not even worth mentioning as they often get no play time if not to just farm titan coin gear...

I dont know if this would be for the best, its can be very much abused. I do like the concept though and feel there should be an easier way to obtain them.

I do really like this, although i feel before its implemented we need to have a stable way of obtaining contracts. Like you said if they increased the % that the transform contract box drops, then that would be fantastic. The transformation box still drops, its just more so 1/5 runs instead of 4/5.

I completely disagree with this. p2w ISNT bad, but it BECOMES bad when theyre given an advantage over every other player. That doesnt want to, or cant spend money on the game. One thing aion has done, that I really do like, is making the end game armor be farmed instead of giving it to players. Like you said, you spend thousands on the game and havent gotten near max geared. Thats the point of aion. You cant throw money at the game to get good gear, and up until recently you werent able to throw money at the game to enchant that gear.. but that has since changed. Why should you be treated better then f2p players? They only want your money, and yet p2w players are willing to pay for it. 1000$ weapons 2000$ stigmas 500000000000$ for enchant stones. Youre given more advantages then EVERY player who doesnt spend money on the game. I wont EVER be able to even use that 1000$ weapon skin unless its released in an event and I get super lucky. I have to farm for months and months to just get my advanced stigmas. These last previous eevents have been far from farmable for any free player. Even if you had 300 alts, it doesnt matter. theyre not benefiting from it because theyre not spending the amount it costs to buy a car on the game. You cant expect aion to just give you a full set of end game armor because youre willing to spend a thousand dollars on the game. Thats not how it works. The amount of benefits youve been given is absurd, there hasnt been one good event since the release of 7.5. I understand this ice cream event has the potential to be good, but since its ending Wednesday it hasnt been live for long enough to be good.

Thats another major issue. After they re-did the entire BCM I dont understand why they removed all the skins. Every game has one cosmetic place that is bought with real money. This is a great way for NCsoft to make money and yet they dont take advantage of it. Im sure they probably could of earned thousands and thousands of dollars from just people buying skins alone on the BCM. There was some really nice skins up there, and I dont get why theyre gone. As for the pandora armor, thats sort of how the game is. Every "older" set is normally out dated. I would say just wait though. With the path NCsoft has been taking with these recent updates, I wouldnt be surprised if one day the pandora armor is used as the appearance for some sort of armor set in the game in the future. It seems a lot of the older maps and instances and armor sets are being reused for the newer content.

@HealingSquid-KT Marketing issues and events, you never know for sure you're being conned at the time - after all "we raised the success rates", an excel model would indicate that 500+ tempering attempts would net 1 +10, actually the math indicated roughly 366 required, however, not in our case. Likewise, statistically, a 54% chance of success without penalty on failure meant that the probability of getting only 3/30 was minuscule, however, again, RNG said otherwise.

Regardless, a company that treats its paying customers better generally get more people to spend. NC is running a rather dumb system.

@Vasilios-KT

People like us fund the game you know. That's reason enough that paying players should have an edge over free ones. To argue otherwise is asinine, the game would close down without paying customers. That's probably why they  never took off the ultimate enchanting stones from BCM for a month despite saying they'd only run until 7/14. The BCM likely doesn't sell much these days aside from stones as most of it isn't worth buying. One look at the "hot" tab shows 2 things, stones and reset scrolls for particular instances. It's just bad design.

That's a failure on the part of NC, every item should be worth buying. In any case, have dumped more on phone games than Aion frankly as phone games in general do better with what they sell and how they sell it. You're buying actual progression vs "sorry, back to square one for you today". But maybe they'll address this when they address the RNG problem.

Alts mattered back in the day; recall the snowball events? 50 alts, 10 snowballs a day, 500 a day for 2 million each, a billion kinah a day, nothing you cannot buy in game with kinah - loot rights come to mind. Endgame PVE dropped from the balls, so yes, you could get a full set of endgame gear without playing the instance even once. Omegas, temperings etc dropped from the balls too, so you could be max geared by running an obscene number of alts and with some good RNG. However, if RNG fails you, you've lost nothing but some time where as the guy buying it just lost out on a few grand. Why do you think they made event materials un-tradeable? F2P players actually had it better than P2P players for the longest time with alt abuse. Even now, luna farming on multiple alts allows the F2P to effectively replicate what the P2P can do. P2P is forced to spend to sell BCC -> kinah where as F2P can simply farm kinah boxes off luna.

Those same 50 alts doing 1 luna run a day on 4 clients is 250m a day in kinah boxes. For the P2P to get that, that's roughly 1200 BCC worth it items.

I would like to share my experience on p servers which based on old patch :P

First about people hate transformed into an animal, well this is untrue to p server they giving free candies to everyone as long as I keep logging and people don't mind to transform into pandas and not many people using skins because most of time they perfering transform because extra speed.
Everyone who loved old patch because balance PvP,well this also untrue pvp do happened but only in group if you're alone and running into someone who alone too while doing camps most of time they will ignore you it seems everyone wanna do their own things and log off to do something else.
Everyone crazed about skins before 6.0,even on the server that do not providing free candy most people don't care about skins so much there're some people who fooled enemies with their newbie gears look but that's fews ;o
People love to explore maps and leveling, this is also untrue everyone just leveling in instances few do leveling in open world, some even leeched themselves in certain spots.

So what's the problem with new patch ? Obviously it's about RNG people needs to invest a ton of money to get what they want but if there's a way to buy it directly or alternate way to get it in game with series of quests or crafting I think people will ok with that.
Second is choices, just because I say most people don't care about skins or certain things doesn't mean you have to be obsolete it, streamline to certain thing to do in game is just a bad game. People should have ways to do what they want even leveling with crafting instead go out to killing monsters, giving choices for us is better than forcing us to stay in game and do lugbug daily or afk luna.
Third don't preserve anything about Aion game needs to change and adapt to the time. Do we still living in 19th century house ? :P Although the house looks nice but everything keep changing.

Well I'll list things that you should do now :)

-Reduce RNG of everything greatly.
-Instead transparent scrolls make it option to turn on and off to show transform or not.
-Make lugbug daily as a choice reduce important of it, create a lot of organization for players to choose to join.
-Introduce old skins, motions, emotes into various methods no matter luna,GST,world drop or simply NPCs.
-Increase important of crafting make it profitable for people.
-Introduce another leveling maps as choices for players to choose :P
-Give every class a series of quests to unlock new weapons for them with unlock new skills for them.(Not many people like current look of AT and painter weapons u know)
-Make housing useful again like ancient icon guestbloom back in 4.x day.

The key of solving the problem are 2 things reduce RNG and giving choices to everyone as much as possible.

I hope you will implement them as soon as possible Kibbelz ^^
Because you know time won't wait. ;p

ty for the correction...I would spend money on the game if they put leather miragents breeches, innocent aris leggins, anuhart tunic, varshaity wings and bow with the blue eye not red, black and clear sauren bow and tiamat guards shoulder guards as those are the exclusive skins i prefer to use only...

I love how youre comparing RNG to stuff thats been like 1-2 years ago. Thats how any game is, you cant wave your finger and expect the 50% or 40% success rate to be statistically true. Nor can you confirm an increase in success rates, its just about trust.

You may fund the game, but no... thats not how MMOs work. Youre supposed to FARM up youre things in MMOs, you cant expect to throw a couple thousand bucks at the game and have all your wishes come true. Andd you have been given advantages, advanced stigmas, 1000$ weapon skins, runestones, gemstones, runestone and gemstone enchants, and soon prestige holders can reset their gemstone and runestone slot, all of this stuff only you have been capable of getting (outside of prestige). Not us free players. NCsoft always will go after money, thats why most events can be p2w in some aspect.

As for phone games, I dont think theyre as much of a grind as Aion is. RNG is apart of the game, you cant expect to be spoon fed victory. Like all MMOs, it takes skill and time to master your class and obtain the best gear to be good at the game.

Alts still matter, theyre very useful. No one is threatening you and telling you that because your willing to spend thousands on the game that you cant have alts. I mean seriously... if alts are such a big issue, go make some. Go get those 500 snowballs and 1b kinah a day... i mean seriously. Then dont buy snowballs. I dont get it, no one is forcing you to do anything. You cant complain about buying thousands of dollars worth of snowballs, you know what the rates are, you know what the drops are. Its just ridiculous. If theres bad rates then dont spend thousands of dollars on one event. If youre expecting to get your full set from a snowball event.. I mean im not even gonna comment on that.

As for luna, again just go make alts. Its not as simple as you say it is. Although I dont check my luna crafts EVERY day, i havent seen a kinah bundle on my luna list for MONTHS now. Youre not forced to do ANYTHING. You willingly buy BCC and try and get kinah from that. Thats on you, not NCsoft or free players. When crafting kinah boxes with luna, first youve gotta do luna every day for the mats. And if I remember corectly, afking luna for 12 alts is 4  hours I think (it may be 8, its between 4 and 8). Thats FOUR hours someone has to sit and not play aion, for 12 toons. 24 if you open multiple accs at once. So, youre spending 4 hours to do luna, and then youve gotta wait for the luna on the alt to offer a kinah bundle to craft... that means logging in and out of all 12 characters and all alternate accounts checking every character. Thats maybe a minute or two for each character, so maybe half an hour or something if youre checking 24 chaacters. And thats every day... so thats 3 and a half hours every week, 10 and a half hours every month 126 hours every year. For luna.. to get kinah... in a game... and theres a high possibility that alt may not even have the kinah bundle on it. So no, its not 250m a day. Its more like the possibility of 250m a day. Not to mention, you have to save up the Luna Light to get the kinah bundle. So if someone is doing that, every day then they deserve all that kinah theyre getting more then anyone.

And again, give me examples of the game now. other then luna. Tempering solutions and omega stones are out of date. And also btw, if yure talking about enchanting gray wolf accs for the compensation at the start of 7.0, well then +10 is overkill. You only needed +8 to get like one +10 Zenith ultimate part. And I enchanted 6 hats to +8 with no problems, and i didnt buy my tempering solutions with money either. So if i can do it, then so can you.

*Edit* I would like to make it very clear that I dont mind paying players, Ive got nothing against them. My issues are with NCsoft and how paying players are given advantages over free players. I understand it, completely. I personally used to spend a lot of money on the game in the past, but thats when It was more focused on skins instead of armor. The events and things NCsoft has done in the past cant be undone, and therefore we must live with that. But I can only hope in the future we learn to find an even balance of paying and free players, where they both have equal opportunities, where the amount spent on the game doesnt dictate how much success or the advancements said player can make.

Because you know time won't wait. ;p

Theres some really nice things on this list that I agree with, and some that I feel are fine in the game. Reducing the RNG, or increasing the success rate of things - yes technically would be lovely. But, thats not the point of an MMO. I will agree, some things right now are just way too low. But the point is to have you farm. Whats the point of enchanting armor or rune stones or gemstones if you can get it to the max + with barely any materials. There are a lot of rates that should be changed, I know it seems A LOT of people have difficulties when enchanting pvp armor, as an example.

I think transparent scrolls are fine how they are. Theyre not meant to be the common thing, theyre a luxury. Its up to the player, if they want that luxury they gotta spend a couple thousand extra on every scroll.

Lugbug daily is a choice, the only use of it is for libo or for the extraction solvent and legendary contract shards from the weekly lugbug. I personally havent done lugbug daily consistently in like... four months i think.

Crafting would be very nice, a lot of people did level it up (including myself) in the hopes it would do more. It is quite useless right now, hopefully they can change that.

About the old maps, well I dont think were gonna get those back. Although it wasnt fully said why they were deleted, I think NCsoft just wants to have a couple maps to reuse. Like how inggison is our new end game map, and how theyre reusing a lot of the old armor appearances. I think thats really where theyll come back, so its just a matter of time to wait and hope they do.
