Event instance - Tips

• It favors attack speed users, if you are a mystic class use an old pre 6.0 weapon with attack speed if you have it, you cannot transform in there so you hit as if it is Aion 1.0.
• All skills are instant so your attack speed is the only thing that makes you a god or worthless. That sorc-ranger that uses the skill on aetherheld mobs is like twice as fast with an attack user than with a casting user, so you better get a sin with you and give him the sorc-ranger.
• Runes for extra attack help but only the single one, the aoe rune wouldn't proc because all your skills are aoe.
• The rewards are random amount of event coins in every cake, you might get more coins in an a-rank run than with an s-rank run because you can get anything from 10 to 100 (I didn't get more than 100 not sure you can get more).
• Didn't try the weapon dmg pre 6.0 weapons to be honest, I remember those were far better at killing the bosses, one person with such a weapon wouldn't transform and would auto-attack the boss, 2~3 hits and the boss would die. Someone needs to test it and let us know.

And a question, you get 2 rangers to spawn in there at some point, apparently you have to "use them" at the same time (2 characters) and they probably help, something like the Frozen monolith poles you had to use at the same time with all 6 chars. Didn't do it so I am not sure what its their purpose and how they help.

This is taken from the EU version of the event, may be the same effect:

Tip: Grab the support of two NPCs and use the special skills of the black and green rangers to your advantage! After you’ve defeated Staff Officer Bonadi and Lady Ghory, these two rangers will prepare a special attack. Speak to them both at the same time to unleash it. Then you can enjoy reduced hit points for monsters.

Thanks for this. So the Templar gets the mobs around the area to give the other two time to use the two NPCs.

We constantly lack information on NA. They could simply copy paste the EU event info into their announcement.

Thank you all for that info, now my question is : being a sorc what ranger should I play ? I threw away / sold all my old weapons that were cast speed / atk speed fuse and in the current game (idk why they don’t like sorc so much) we have absolutely no way to increase our atk speed other than ulti  xform... I’m not going to complain here that it takes like 10 min to cast all the three “instant” buffs (magic rush, vaizel and aetherblaze) before i can attack something...

I'd do the templar one, it is not that important as a class and doesn't do the most dmg. You can also try to remove the weapon it lowers the number in attack speed, but that is not acting like a true attack speed, but it sure helps a little bit.

I went in with a sin alt to see the sorc transform and then I did the same with a sorc... the sin was much swifter to use the skill especialyl when only using one dagger and no offhand. And the biggest problem is in the aerial skill (skill No 4) of the sorc-transform, that has a very long animation so the low attack speed users can't make good use of the most important skill in there.

They should have given us all preset stats and weapons or items shouldn't play a single role. Or at least allow us to transform (still attack speed users would benefit a lot again, but it would lower the gap)

Thank you, that's what I thought as well, since we are screwed up with atk speed we should play temp, even if that may sound counter-intuitive. However, I'm amazed at how this instance is conceived by the devs, it should be designed so all the player have equal stats and performance in playing any ranger they want.

Even luna is attack speed favorable, back in the days we did it actively (otherwise we could get b-rank) doing it with a non attack speed user sucked. Now not only you do not need to actively play luna but you can transform so you can gain some attack speed.

They need to totally separate attack speed and casting speed chars. nobody should need both specs to play his class because it is absolutely unfair.

Sorc's Freeze skill (3) and Glad's aerial thrust skill (not sure which one it is since I usually do sorc for my group) are also really helpful for CCing the mobs near the rangers so the temp can keep the boss away/not have to move around too much since some of them have DoTs (Robot one) that interrupt ranger use. 

Also, basically every skill on the last two bosses can be easily avoided as they all seem to be very close range. I'm usually perfectly safe from Fascination (Fear) and all of the other attacks by moving out to 7~ meters (I'm sure you could stay even closer, range seems to be 3-5m if I had to guess)when it starts casting and zipping right back in as it finishes. Avoiding the fear is particularly necessary for hitting those S-rank clears if you aren't running with someone with Additional Strike.

[The Secret Cow Level]

The Templar pull skill is a normal physical attack skill (SkillATK_Instant) with a base damage of 284. (As opposed to everything else that are NoReduceSpellATK_Instant fixed damage spells)

It is affected by Physical Attack / PvE Attack stat, and the mob/bosses inside seems to have extremely low Physical Defense, so Templars should preferably be played by physical classes.

Another technique I saw in a video was to bring the boss to the wall so it faces the wall and all stay backs to the wall, so when it casts fear you don't run far away. The problem I encountered is on the mecha boss, it takes too long to kill so I wonder whether there is some technique I've been missing ?

This discussion takes a dangerous twist since the sorcs cannot play dps classes cause no atk speed and they cannot either play the temp since no phys atk. It seems like sorcs will soon have to play only among themselves for this event.

We usually have our Temp positioned like that so they can just keep the boss still and not pull in any extra adds (keeps the basic spammy aoes hitting the boss and not the rubbish). Only advice I can give on the mecha boss is to try to coordinate the glad's aerial thrust and the sorc's 4 as it is quite high damage and will hit non-aerial thrusted targets near the one you're hitting. Base on sorc's 4 is 4k, I believe, and it is spammable so it can land on the boss if you're coordinating with your glad. Also, burning some DP skills on the mecha seems worthwhile as well, pre-popping 2k/4k jellies as the sorc/glad roles can be very helpful, just make sure to do so outside since they can't be used once you enter the instance.

Chanters: Toggle on Celerity mantra before entering the instance, so everyone have boosted movement speed.

Gunslingers: Get one of these in your party and have them toggle Rapidfire Deluge on before entering the instance!
