[Survey] Israphel Asmodian Survey

Hey everyone 

In-line with the discussions you may have seen here, we have observed a small but meaningful differential in characters on Iraphel at the highest levels. To ensure that PvP objectives remain fun & engaging for everyone while players continue their leveling (Elyos and Asmodian alike), we're handing out surveys (one per account) across the next week to all Asmodian players on Israphel which will contain the following items:

• x3 Quick Polar Bear Candy
• x10 HP Potion
• x10 MP Potion
• x10 Running Scroll
• x10 Courage Scroll
• x10 Awakening Scroll
• x4 Lodas Amulet (+20% XP for 1h)

These surveys will expire during maintenance on 7/21 and are available to accounts who have an Asmodian on Israphel between level 5 - 50.

Please keep in mind this is not a commitment to us performing similar actions again, or in the future. The nature of these rewards is intentionally restrained, and we are particularly curious to hear your thoughts about this effort. So please let us know what you think!

The main problem I see is IS-A attempting to "boycott" sieges until NCWest steps in. Boycott what? The company? If people wish to boycott the company, it's about not playing and paying money for the game. What's really happening is that those people have become part of the problem, and are actually boycotting themselves and their faction. Faction dominance comes from faction participating even if outnumbered, but not attempting because you're upset is childish at best. From what @Forthyn - Asmodaes Pea-kis posting, even SL-E is participating in sieges even if they stand no chance.

Everyone wants to be in the dominant faction and that is nothing new, but to become the dominant faction means you actually have to stay and support it, not just run off to the other server. Let's not forget that (apparently) the many IS-A players are European, which siege attendance makes it nigh impossible for the majority of it, and while some nyerk can come here and say "just wait for EU classic lul", just remember the moment this happens, Israphel's population will dwindle even further. When that happens, you're free to actually claim the server is dead.

TL;DR: IS-A population and sieges issues are because of the players, not because of NCWest.

Yeah. I was excited when I hit 25...just to find out that the 'leadership' quit or whatever. I'm sure things will improve once we all level up, but that did suck. Ah well. Here's hoping for future sieges.

This is a difficult subject due to timing. On the one hand, they do need help of some kind. On the other, this is exactly what some people wanted and it's just giving them a reward for misbehaving.

 

However I don't have an Asmo on IS so you may take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm outside looking in here.

Just merge the servers like y’all are doing on retail. It’s going to have to happen eventually before classic dies out. And no offense but y’all have already ruined the game with p2w. 60%+ of the population left because of candies, might as well get the merge over with before there’s 10 people on each server.

Can't merge servers. Can't have characters in both factions on the same server as that affect influence (cheating and whatnot). Many of us have a character on each server.

Not to sound rude but "the leadership quit"? Who are they, the government or something? Nobody crowns anyone a leader which you are mandated to follow. Nor does their effort to reach end game status fast and gear themselves belong to the faction.

This is not socialism where you are obliged to participate and share. There are people who simple do pve and others who do only twinking, these also do not contribute as much as end game users, can they be blamed for enjoying the game the way they want? Each to their own and nobody can blame anyone for anything.

Someone might be 50 and geared and not feel like going to a siege for any reason. Statistically if the numbers were equal there would be balance, if there is no balance then there is smoke and wherever is smoke there is a fire.

Yes, you can. They are going to merge the remaining two Live/Retail servers into one in the next few weeks. They PREFER not to have only one server, but yes, it is entirely possible as they are proving with Retail.

That said, I don't think Classic should be merged yet (Retail absolutely). The population is not THAT bad, and people have to remember, once there is only one server left, that's it. There is no other recourse after that. Once that final server "dies," the game is closed.

I don't want the servers merged.  I do appreciate the survey that I received this morning.

Sure wasn't aware that I could have Asmo and Elyos on the same server if they merged.  

I'm not even close to level 50 on either side but on IS there were quite a few people around.  

Seems it's to early to talk merger but that's just my thought.

I think you missed the point. I have a character on each server, one of each faction. I can log in on my Ely, see what the plan of attack is, then log into my Asmo and inform everyone what the plan is. We are talking about an active game. So no, you cannot merge the only two servers. It would kill what's left of this fairly quickly.

Retail has almost no players at all and the ones that do play aren't really waging war against each other like we are on Classic, are they? In fact, I checked out retail last week and encountered 0 other players with LFG completely devoid of any chatter. Almost as if nobody was even on.

Yeah. Because there are about 100 of them. TOTAL. So I'm sorry about your little spy game or whatever, but retail does not have the population to support two separate servers. It's nearly impossible for people to form groups for anything endgame. We aren't talking about Classic as that's not what's being merged. We're talking about retail.

What we have is based straight off of Korea. The ability to make a free account is available to all regions that have Classic.

Stop Nyerking and complaining how its not true classic and thank them for tweaking the experience just enough to hook the 2021 crowd.  So many of ya'll never really experienced how korean mmorpgs were over a decade ago.  Bunch of younglings here.

So you missed the outcry for years by fans of the original Aion for a classic experience huh?

Those of us, such as myself, who complain this isn't a classic experience want a classic experience. As in how it was. Not tweaked, otherwise we would play on private servers.

Just because there isn't "HARDCORE NOLIFE ELITE 24/7 LVL 50 ON DAY 1 PVP OF THE HIGHEST ORDER" on Israphel doesn't mean its dead. There is still plenty of fighting in the Abyss, but yes the server is more laid back than Siel. Spoiler alert, most people who rolled Israphel actually wanted that, that's why we didn't roll Siel!

I think its great they give Asmodian players extra incentives to play. However, merging the servers right now is way too soon!

You failed to balance correctly .You posted up and down about race locks server locks restrictions and other bullshit and neither servers are even balanced.

You could dual box and have an elyos logged on a separate account and no need to keep logging in and out. This is not the reason you are not allowed to have 2 factions in one account in the same server.

They are doing this to prevent people from trading items via account warehouse (not sure what happens when you do have both factions in one server, does account wh work?).

and of course when there are other account related benefits it can't be on both factions at the same time.
