playing without pvp

Hi all. I don't really like pvp, as I suffer with anexiety alleady. In ways, I'd like to play pvp without getting anxious/nervous. Please people, don't just say,  then play another game.   But I do like doing the games quests/tasks whatever you wanna call it etc... Running around gathering, fighting  NPC's.

I'm certainly not new to mmorpg's been playing them for decades. Neither am I new to Aion. But my  anexiety has worsened over the years.  I'm in two minds whether I will continue playing Aion, what with all the bots etc. I'm happy to sub, but I really don't want to pay extra for passes ect. I'm actually beggining to wonder if it's really worth my effort continuing with this game.  A few times now, while I've been doing various quests/gathering, I randomly get attacked by Asmos, so I feel limited to what I can do. So often I just either log out for a while,  or just do boring crafting, until I no longer feel anxious, then go out again, and BAM! get battered by an Asmo... Lol, I know this sound funny, and would make many laugh. Thinking about it afterwards makes me laugh too.

Mayhap you should wait for future patches of the game. More instances are coming in which the encounter of the opposite race is either not possible or to be expected. Else alot of essences can be tapped in secure areas, which you might yet discover.

I think I'll persever a wee bit. But just a bit at a time. Yes it certainly would be better if I could do things without the worry that I'd get attacked. Thank you for replying to my thread x

People like to come at you with small d!ck energy and the usual THIS IS A PVPVE GAME JUST PLAY SOMETHING ELSE and it's honestly just such an egotistically "I'm more superior than you" answer. That said, Aion is very heavy on the pvp, so I'm not sure how much you can enjoy it before getting killed in open world. I do understand though because as I get older, I also wonder if my mentality has outgrown this sort of game. I no longer find it amusing killing people who are gathering or killing low level quest mobs. I prefer instanced pvp, like Idgel Dome, etc where EVERYONE is there intentionally and WANTS to be a part of the pvp. Anyway, I digress.

Here are some things you might try when you feel like you're being killed in pvp and it's starting to upset you:

1. Work on quests in other areas (no brainer) -- if a message pops up on a map that the other faction now has a rift, just leave the map

2. If you like collecting titles (one of my favorite Aion things), google the directions/quest(s) for one of the titles you don't have yet. Here is a list of the titles available in Classic: https://www.reddit.com/r/aion/comments/oljpt6/aion_classic_list_of_all_asmodian_titles_in_order/

3. Work on your crafting (until it becomes too boring)

4. Run all the way to an area of a map which you haven't been to or have barely seen and just explore it

5. Preview all of the gear on the broker and see if there are any cheap sets you'd like to buy for skins and re-skin your gear, even if it's only temporary gear!

6. Look for low level quests in the maps (by talking to NPCs if you no longer see the quests on them) and do them just for the storyline

the problem is that a lot of these people never grew or matured past original aion. they're still living at home, overweight, sweatin over a video game. they are most likely unemployed losers who sit in aion for 19 hours a day farming people who actually have lives and friends to make themselves feel better.  we all know this. the type who sees you're 10+ levels below and spends every resource he has to get the kill.   low life losers. and all you need to do is remember that.  aion gave these low lives a platform to feel like they are rising, when we all know they're sitting there hating themselves and their lives and taking it out on whoever they can.  losers. end of story.  dont listen to people telling you to change games.   you have more of  a right to play this than the people who sit in the abyss punching their keyboard to take down a level 20.  people like this usually end up raging so bad after one death they uninstall.  get a group,  stay away from areas you know that these losers are hunting and do not listen to any of the obese low lives telling you to leave.  this game is as much for the pvers as it is for the "pvpers" even tho most of the time they only enter into fights they know they can win and run away from anything equal or fair.  these people always end up leaving, uninstalling or alienating themselves.

You have nothing to lose if you are not a PVPer.  You don't have AP,  you won't lose exp or money. Your enemy won't gain AP from you multiple times. You shouldn't have problem with that. On the other hand, nobody can play this game without death.

Getting 2 crafting professions to 399 should bring you to lv30 with exp bonus,  then you can do dungeon runs and clear a few quests near city to lv40. You can keep running dungeons or jump the the last map to kill lv45 mobs till you hit lv50

There are 9 PvE instances you can enjoy from level 25+, and there are 2 maps where PvP is not possible, which have repeatable quests you can do.

In fact, there are more PvE things to do then there are PvP atm. That will change a bit with updates in the future.
