  1. The majority of players don't have a minion at all, that's exactly my point. You are also making the assumption the rest of us haven't bled to try and get a rank A as well. We are getting contracts added to the Divine group and solo instances and to Fissure in 5.8. I say wait until then so that actually working for your minion becomes a plausible idea alongside spending Kinah/NCoin. I just don't want NCoin to be the ONLY viable method to obtain them, which is the route it appears we are about to go down.
  2. I really hope NC aren't putting Minion Contracts up for direct sale. Strong minions have had a terrible affect on how group PvP is performed in Korea. In most 6v6 situations, at the beginning of EVERY encounter one player from each team is killed just using minion abilities, 100-0, instantly. The difference in a paying player and a normal player's ability to acquire contracts means essentially ONLY the paying players will ever achieve a Tier 3 Rank A minion, and they provide a similar bonus to a +10 Pure Plume and with a free attached Storm Strike ability. Unlike Tempering Solutions and Ome
  3. You misunderstand. Green attack doesn't affect skill buffs, like Devotion or skill base damage. Bonus attack is still added on to each strike.
  4. Aion is a game that demands a lot of time, but also can be very rewarding. If Aion is your only hobby, and you have the time to do her justice then yes, it's still worth playing. Playing casually is easier now than it was, but you arent going to ever compete at a respectable level without some investment of some sort.
  5. Precision translates to Macc, Crit and Acc, Power to Attack and PhysDef Socket Precision until you have enough MA, then you can branch off into other stats. To get Apollon gear, take Wing Marks (Broker/Events/AoE) +Vibrant Dawn pieces (from boxes in AoE) to the trader on the right hand side of your Archdaeva capital building (left side would be Blood Crusade reps). Apollons is currently the 3rd best available PvE gear, but in the scheme of things it is VERY close to 1st (Harvester celestial gear) and 2nd (Sophisticated Frigada). Current PvP Meta wise I would say 2.3k MA is preferable
  6. A very, very quick how to guide on killing sorcs with very little resources when outgeared and outleveled.
  7. The hell? People in WoW don't complain when someone who clearly has put in hundreds of hours of raiding beats them as a casual player. Returning players are given the world in Aion these days, and you can spend literally nothing and be competetive in Aion. The people who I know that do have leveled an alt army so that can simply gather far higher amounts of raw materials and mass participate in events. This is what is required to be top level competitive heaps of MMOs When I raided 5 nights a week in WoW I didn't have a choice even to which class I played. If I didn't have a max level to
  8. I recommended AMD in the thread that originally brought up the topic, but AMD sets don't suffer the misunderstanding that Intel's do as they typically are able to perform regardless of threading. Why bring up a topic that doesn't need addressing?
  9. If you care about winning in a modern MMO, don't complain when you get beaten by someone who cares more than you do.
  10. Put your settings to max and type /ping. Then repeat with minimum settings. The reason why we say it affects your ping is because we are referring to that exact feature in game and the observed effects it has. It does not decrease latency, which you are correct in inferring, however that is not what we are referring to. FPS also affects other things VERY slightly such as maximum jump height.
  11. I love rap. I think southerners are genuine. This is tickling my fancy.
  12. We have 3 in our city, population of about 100k. Brutal Deluxe in our central city mall, NeoTokyo on the main drag (same street as the mall) and Akiba Direct just a block north of that. Australia really is the best.
  13. While replying to another thread it occurred to me that very few players understand exactly why Aion seems like it runs terribly with amazing PC specs 8 years after it's release. Allow me to explain, and hopefully save someone thousands of dollars in their efforts to run this dinosaur smoothly. Lets go back 15 years (that's how old this stuff really is), long before Intel's misguided mitts grabbed us all by the nads with their hyperthreading magic. To the days when CryEngine 1, the infrastructure Aion is built on, was first being designed. Back then, technology was lagging behind a l
  14. This is actually a very iffy topic, as Aion is a single core threaded game. See - https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html A simple $200 i3 will outperform the $2000 new i9s due to the fact the Crytek engine (which Aion is built on) cannot utilize the hyperthreading technology Intel are so stupidly proud of. EDIT: You will notice that the AMD cards seem to lag behind on this list, but if you compare that simple i3 to a similarly priced AMD card that performs (relatively slightly) worse, the AMD pulls ahead in literally every other category. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/
  15. Also, I know Intel/Nvidia have good multicore processors and great cards, but if you want Aion to run as best as possible I recommend going AMD. The next generation of consoles is being built with AMD architecture in mind as well, so choosing AMD over Intel/Nvidia will "future proof" your PC upgrade as well.
  16. You need a better PC. While it may seem strange, having really low FPS drastically affects your ping. ANY ping reduction server will typically do the job (Ive found about 15ms variance between the best and worst for me), but until you can achieve MUCH higher frame rates you will continue to see it impacting your ability to perform.
  17. I'd say the reason why Assassin is perceived as difficult is that weaving almost unique to Aion.
  18. Making things easier makes NC less money, I like the idea though.
  19. Quoted for paragraphing so people might actually read it.
  20. All PvE DPS can be boiled down to 2 or 3 buttons per class with good use of the custom skill chain system and watching the damage log. So anyone reading this; don't be afraid of playing a class because someone says it's hard. No hate but when people say Assassin is hard I just can't help but think they are the kind of person who would try to force a square block into a round hole.
  21. My sin's lucky vinna collection is pretty impressive. I always saved them for important fights or recording PvP, but literally nothing in the game requires me to squeeze every little stat out of my toon to complete. Best thing you can do as a customer if you are not happy with the product you received is to shop elsewhere. While even for me it's painful to think this attitude will lead to the game shutting down, it's how the rest of the world works and it seems to do the job.
