1s23F54F-KT Posted March 8, 2018 Share Posted March 8, 2018 The Aion game client crashes on my high end AMD-based system. System configuration: CPU AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X - 16 core. Not overclocked. Memory: 64GB across 4-channels Video: NVidia 1070 GTX Installation HDD: Samsung 840EVO SSD - 1TB Windows 10 Pro version 1709 (Fall Creators Edition)Problem symptoms. In Ryzen Master creator mode (16 cores, UMA memory Access, Legacy Mode OFF) game will crash 100% of the time before reaching the login screen. In Ryzen Master game mode (8 cores, NUMA memory Access, Legacy Mode ON) game runs normally. Why is this a problem? While running your game, my system CPU process handling in in effect halved reducing my ability to multitask - The reason I use such a high end processor. I need to reboot my system to switch operating modes. This is an annoyance since your game is the only one I have to do this with. Please address this problem since it will become more of a problem as technology advances. Game software must not make assumptions about the hardware platforms it will run on.
