Essencetapping not working

I cannot gather certain resources via Essencetapping even though I seem to meet the requirements.
I also wasn't able to find any info about this specific problem.

Now, my problem is, that if I try to gather Iron for example, the fail bar increases by 1% each 3-5 seconds and the gathering attempt eventually fails.
Iron Ore, as I see it, requires Essencetapping 15 and I have it up to 34. Why am I not able to gather it, then?

That'll be Siel's Aura. Without it (aka without the subscription) you can't gather anything

So you can basically play the whole game up and down, but gathering is pay locked?

That's almost GameForge Level stupidity...
I mean, I've got nothing against premium features or subscriptions. But pay locking a certain gathering just seems dumb.

Well, you still have an hour per day to gather, which is what I do at the moment. Not for everyone though I understand
