Tomorrow, we will have an extended maintenance window as we change server hosting to AWS. These AWS servers are located in the state of Virginia. We expect for the transition to begin at approximately 6am Server Time (4am PT / 7am ET / 11am UTC), and last for approximately 8 hours and 45 minutes if all goes well.
Thanks for your patience while we work to keep the Aion experience as rewarding as possible - and we'll look forward to bringing the servers back online as soon as we can tomorrow!

Hey team - so I know everyone has been really curious to see how this is going to play out! There will be a lot of work on our side to address this, but here's the plan:
In total, about 300 players obtained the item in question before the merchant was taken down. We're going to be retrieving the items or transformations, or any results generated due to them. In cases where the once-per-account Key was used, we will be restoring it so the items can be earned fairly. Beyond this, we won't be taking further punitive actions as the actions will not have a significant impact the game economy or overall health.
On Wednesday, we will re-deploy the Merchant and you can begin spending your event currency, which will we will not be resetting.
Because players effectively lost a week of progress, we'll be providing a survey with the following items (Basically, all the non-transformation, non-cosmetic items available from the merchant this past week):
- [Event] Dimensional Hourglass (120 min) Bundle x1
- [Event] Consumables Bundle x5
- [Event] Legendary Blood Mark Bundle x2
- [Event] Instant Return Scroll Bundle x3
- [Event] Lugbug's Boon - Single-use Ticket Bundle x3
- [Event] Experience Mark Bundle x5
This survey will be available for one week, until maintenance on 10/14.
Hopefully this provides some much-desired info and thanks so much to those of you who've shown patience while we worked this out.

That's assuming that every single person in-game had read the event page to know that it wasn't meant to be free.

The fact of the matter is, yes, it sucks that those who weren't there or online at the time didn't get to buy the locked transform box whilst it was free. It just means that for everyone else, they'll have to get it the intended way, which is to do a decently short grind of collecting 50 Songpyeon Honey and get the box when the NPC returns next maintenance.
NO ONE got 20$ for free.0 -

Explain to me then why the contract from the NPC, which is bought with currency obtained entirely in-game, and the key which costs 0 BC Coin and can only be purchased once per account somehow equates to $20?

No, the contract is free on the BCM, once per account, regardless on whether or not they bought for 50 Songpyeon honey or not.
