  1. They've always been scrooges. "Event" to them means "pay to win". The many times recycled dino event was the only thing that gave anything and you had to fight others for the drops.

The only thing they do is double XP, double AP, and sometimes double drops. There's a gold drop event right now, for whatever that's worth.

I have a temporary fix for this. If you get a login error, just uninstall and reinstall the launcher. If you get a error upon clicking the "Play" button, then change the target folder for the game that the launcher has set to something else, then change it back.

Don't do this. Literally just click the button repeatedly until it works.

    -1 means try again.

3325 means you were logged into the launcher for too long. Log out and log in again.

So, maybe I don't understand, but can't you take the forts back every day? I don't pvp or siege or any of that stuff. But why would they make it baluar by default after maint and such? You think they actually do it to make ppl mad or?

    :0 legit question

      It's in the thread:

Nobody is complaining about recapping the forts. They're complaining about losing medals, losing access to instances, and the ongoing mismanagement of the game.

Have you never done the daily medal quests? If you lose a ground fort, you lose two medals per day until the siege rotates back to that fort. If you lose a ground fort in the opposite faction's land, then you lose four medals per day and you can't get it back until Sunday or after already capping your home fort. Every time ground forts reset, nobody can do besh for 1-2 days and everyone loses medals. It can take days or even weeks to retake an abyss fort. Some people lost their abyssal splinter weekly. You can capture a fort again but it won't bring back the rewards that were lost.

Although I'm not sure how people don't understand unless they literally only log in to do Dredge, Tiak, and Udas. All other content is affected.

Considering that forts never reset, are you really arguing that it's not a bug?

But the real problem is how the 150% AP Siel's Aura is destroying the market for medals, manastones, and enchants; and yeah, the abyss schedule is terrible. These make everything high stakes.

  5. Remember when nobody could cap a fort for like three months because the HP was too high? Or the multiple events with the dino nobody could kill. Or when they had an event that gave flight time (lol?) but the NPC was broken. I think they messed up literally every event in the first year of classic and broke forts for more than a quarter of the year. Not much has improved since then.

  6. You can't be against pay to win and for bots. They're the same thing. Either the bot owner gets a huge advantage or they RMT the kinah. We needed GM policing and a drop increase at launch. The genie is already out of the bottle unless they add new gear that makes everything we have obsolete.

  7. I knew what it would be the moment I saw the candies and I knew why everyone left at launch. What I'm shocked about is how the few remaining people actually ask for more bots and more pay to win. Also shocked that this game doesn't have a single GM.

But the latest thing that's shocking is they just had a sort of public apology, in which they increased drop rates and decreased the price of Siel's Aura and Daeva Pass. Then they add L110s for $50. That makes no sense.

I'm trying to understand the purpose of classic. It looks like they're adding a new class now and it seems they're thinking of ways to introduce new gear or raise the level cap. Basically they're making retail Aion again. I'm not sure what is even classic about classic.

  8. It's by design. Like all things in Aion, NCSoft in their wisdom made it a competition where only the best players get more, with a limited number of rewards. Helping others means forfeiting 30k-100k AP and 12m in medals. Yikes.

I think at some point in retail they changed how the rewards work. The result was everyone brought 6+ AFKers to the siege instead. I don't know if they ever got it right.

  9. There is a simple solution to drop rates: increase drop rates and have low-level items drop at high levels. It's ridiculous that anyone would think bots are a good thing. If someone said this to anyone playing another MMO, they would laugh at the thought and think it's crazy, yet it's a totally normalized opinion here. Likewise, I've seen for months people asking to put "solutions" in the cash shop instead of just making items available. The only "solution" people on the forums ever come up with is more bots and more pay to win. The state of this game's community is sad and deteriorated into this almost immediately after every sensible person left at launch.

  10. We keep asking for manastones. Instead, they give us AP. Now we all have multiple sets of gear with no manastones. Additionally, medal prices are up 10x.

We keep asking for more low-level drops like stigmas. Instead, they give us more XP. Leveling twice as fast means half the drops.

They can't just double or triple a resource in the economy without screwing it up.

The cash shop should be for "catching up" items, not best in slot items. Giving out untradable DP gear and 40e makes sense. Giving out L110s doesn't. Doing it for $50 is messed up. Remember all those people defending the candies on day one, while everyone else quit? This is why everyone left classic and this is also why everyone left retail.

People see the new Siel's Aura and Daeva Pass, along with their "apology" letter, and many want to come back... then they pull this stunt only a few weeks later.

The worst part is they never talk to us. They just send dumb surveys with typos about topics we don't even care about. No GMs, no forum presence, and the ticket system is all copied and pasted responses. Why is it so hard to talk to a human with this company?

  11. What's funny is nobody would buy the firm skins for 400k. They kept saying to wait for the drop rate increase. Now they're lining up to pay 1m or even 1.5m. Literally everyone wants a master craft, both whales that will pay any price and people going broke because they're clueless about the cost. It also seems like none of the crafters did their homework on probabilities, because they're selling Master Carved at a loss and still trying to make more. I was going to craft my own but I'll probably save money to buy them instead. The whole server has gone crazy.

  12. This is going to show you people who got the most crits in a 30 second fight, had 100% uptime on every buff imaginable, had low pings, animation hacks, etc.

The sad answer is this community doesn't do theorycraft. They talked about this a lot in the first years of retail. The moment the game went pay to win, the collective IQ dropped, leaving us with nothing but button mashing wallet warriors.
