  1. The manastone event is an adhoc attempt to compensate for the plumet in drop rates, but it doesn't work on multiple levels.

Firstly, the event rewards are trivial. It takes a LOT of manastones to fill a piece of gear, let alone a set of armor, we are talking about several hundred, possibly a thousand manastones. Perhaps the GM should try it for themselves.

Secondly the devs left the manastone failure chance the same, rather than adjusting it to work with the low drop rates, hence the need for hundreds of manastones.

Crafting is seriously effected by drop rates and low server populations, the recipe for things like recovery potions, aether jelly,  are just not dropping. People go to all the work/cost of getting their crafting up to Expert or more, and they have no designs to use with that sill level.

I mean, they could just fix the drop rate instead of making us pay for things we used to have.

The drop rate is not broken. It's a deliberate change of the game structure. I suspect to discourage bots and kinah sellers.

Something that would actually make a difference, would be to change the manastone failure result to how it is in later Aion, ie. you don't loose all your previously socketed manastones in the item, if socketing fails.

They moved 1 fort quest to 1 artifact. So you do still have the ability to earn without the forts, however you still get more plats by taking the forts. You also get plats from the siege itself. There is still big incentive to take the forts.

No you don't.  I participate in fort alliances and the best reward I achieve is 5 plat shards.

The AP is a better reward than the 5 shards.

The daily quests from the camps pay much better.

You get more plat medals, they didnt nerf they buffed the medal gain. Also you get up to 6 plats from taking the fort. It's why some people have full ABG already.

There use to be 2 daily quest each fort which gave either 1 sapphire or 5 plat medal shards per quest. Now there is only one such daily quest.

The emphasis has moved to the camps around the map where you can get 5 plat medal shards daily per quest. So people can still get medals regardless of the forts.

I did however notice an extremely sharp drop off on elyos siege participation on SL  since the executor patch.   However based on how the last Agent skirmish went it seems that the elyos will show up in droves to things they want still.   I dunno if they prefer the buff or what right now, but it's interesting to see.

They nerfed the daily medal quests from the forts, so sieges are not as attractive as the were  before the 2.7patch.

  6. Today on Nezekan, the leaders started calling many hours earlier, than they have in the past, for people to attend the Temple of Scales siege.

That worked, and we finally got enough of a turn out to take the fort for the first time.  It wasn't a faction balance issue, just a participation issue.

In what world TAC is a pvp set?

my eight chars are full SW/TAC, obviously you are in love with me or its just envy.

I do have a lot of pvp gear possibly better than yours poppy love.

It's later on in Aion, they add some more NPCs which sell the PvP versions of the gear.

Called Coliseum Champion's gear from memory.

pve player with eight characters discovers pvp gear for the first time

wears steel rake gear to dredge and gets shredded, doesn't realize what's happening, talks mad rubbish

I'm glad your legion is finally venturing outside its bubble and asking questions about gear added like five patches ago

It's a problem on Nezekan, the Elyos have not taken an Inggison fort yet,  the 55s either don't turn up, or they don't xform,.

So Dredge gear mostly consists of either SR or Tac NCO,  with near zero manastones.

You can get some medals from the Growth Pass premium, but only enough to get a couple of accessories.

From a healing perspective, Templars in either SR or Tac NCO gear are  very hard to keep alive, their HP goes down much faster than the casting time of the big heal skills except Ripple or Flash.

They had non-stop events giving balaur mats for like half a year. Then it abruptly ended, they killed all drops, and even added a legion daily that consumes balic mats.

This game is a casino. You could wake up tomorrow and the items you have on broker are worthless, like the people who paid big money for an omega helm or enchantment stones, right before they showered the server with items. Or your items could be super valuable because they just inexplicably delete all drops. People are getting screwed both ways by them CONSTANTLY messing with artificial shortages and abundances.

What you are saying is that Aion mimics real life.

  10. It's all relative.

For example, on Nezekan stones are rare.

It's pretty funny seeing an alliance turn up for a fort siege wearing mostly L44 Steel Rake gear, yet it's  great fun even if we wipe on every decent AoE.

Manastones would help only if there is even distribution of them, else the old gear imbalance saga, such as on Siel would start all over again.

When are we going to get a fix for tp to Poeta. I play on both server Siel and Nezekan move to Nezekan think the tp would work but it the same as Siel can't do main quest line.

It was fixed over a week ago. You haven't updated something. Try restarting your PC.

  14. Your call for a "fix" assumes the drop rates are broken, which they are not.

It's a conscious decision made by the Korean developers, first applied back in February to their servers, and more recently to the other servers around the world.

They don't want world drops to be significant. Get over it, and run instances or do quests instead.

  15. You can buy or sell, whatever items you can sell on the broker, in the Integrated World Exchange for Quna.

I think the IWE is actually more useful than the broker, because you can access it anywhere on the map instead of having to go and find a broker in a city.
