  1. If you get +200% XP, you get a total of 300% XP which is x3. If you get 2x XP, it's only x2. That's what he wants to know
  2. I don't feel like the AP boost is here? I only get 361 AP for a rank 3 kill
  3. It was made this way to prevent loot selling, but it's 100% unvoluntary from ncsoft. This system is also in place for KKM
  4. pvp > sleep + silence. pve > bow of blessing + silence. all the rest is mandatory
  5. Lets be honest : they try to see what is not dropping and that players needs and put them in the game using either real money (stigmas bundle) or events (gojira giving mres +14) They don't want/don't know how to increase the droprates because frustration = whales pay more
  6. There isn't even 30 mobs to kill at Soteria Sanctuary dude. The problem with bots right now is that we need them to gear up, not that there are too many.
  7. Lmao. There are 2 bots farming mephistis farm, 5-10 bots farming near the south TP, 5-10 farming inside the canyons and 5-10 farmin Ingi safe area. 300-400 bots, you're funny. But I still want an update on droprate though
  8. Your bots don't find manastones either?
  9. I've taken 2 different sources that say the same things as my physical damage formula. https://aion.jeuxonline.info/article/13909/formules-calcul#Dégâts physiques en PvE and https://board.en.aion.gameforge.com/index.php/Thread/429-Ranger-skills-DMG-formula/ They both say power shards don't add to base attack. In any case, it doesn't matter in a comparison case since they would give the exact same value in both cases. And everything else you say is basicaly what I used, except from the skill dmg. But since in my formula it is multiplied by (100/100), it acts as if it wasn't multiplied at all and just added to green attack, which is what you are saying. So to sum it up, my conclusion is still true if all you're looking to do is a comparison and not a damage calculation.
  10. Hey there. I'm putting this here as it can be useful to people. Damage formula atm is (in PvE and with a crit) Modifier = Focused shots (yes it is applied there), damage multiplier from skill (Stunning shot multiplier is 50% to 200% for example). From this we can deduce that green or white attack are equal when it comes to a crit. For further maths, I therefore take a normal hit to simplify. For rangers, class power = 100. For rangers, buffs like Bestial fury and other buffs saying "increase attack by X%" go into the "green attack". Taking Stunning shot for a lvl 55 ranger, taha bow +10 merged with pvp, with bestial fury on, this would make : Dmg = 745+369+(50% of 369)+manastones and other bonuses from pauldron/belt Dmg = 1298.5+manastones and other bonuses With Tac NCO bow +10 instead Dmg = 745+390+(50% of 390)+manastones and other bonuses Dmg = 1334.5+manastones and other bonuses The difference is obvious : Tac bow is supposed to be better. That is if you have the same manastones and bonuses. This is where weapon bonuses come in play. Tac bow base accuracy and crit are low and its attack is 6 lower than taha. To compensate to reach the same stats, you'll have to compensate by manastones. Once you reach the same accu/crit, you can then socket attack +5. Basically 4 accuracy manastones + 5 crit, 9 manastones. Taha has 5 slots, so 10. So taha bonus from manastones will always be 50 attack higher. Taha also has 36 attack bonus stats while Tac has 30. So this bonus is 56. From a math pov and with the goal to compare which weapon is best, we can reduce this by saying (where x = buff multiplier and y is the total green attack of the worse of the two bows) Taha dmg = 745 + 369 + x*369 + y + 56 Tac dmg = 745 + 390 + x*390 + y Let's resolve Taha dmg > Tac dmg 745 + 369 + x*369 + y + 56 > 745 + 390 + x*390 + y x*369 + 56 + 369 > x*390 + 390 35 > 390x-369x 35 > (390-369)x 35 > 21x x < 35/21 x < 1.66 So it means unless you can have a buff that gives you more than 166% attack dmg, Taha will be better than Tac NCO's bow. From this, I deduced a generic formula to decide which bow is better M1 = Number of free manastones slot for Attack +5 for Bow1 when target accu/crit are reached M2 = Number of free manastones slot for Attack +5 for Bow2 when target accu/crit are reached A1 = White attack of Bow 1 (base stat + enchant + fusion) A2 = White attack of Bow 2 (base stat + enchant + fusion) BA1 = Bonus attack of Bow1 (the line below the base stats) BA2 = Bonus attack of Bow2 (the line below the base stats) If X is negative, it means one of the two bows is always better (as negative buffs don't exist). Closer to 0 means bows are close to equal. If X is positive, it means both bow are equal when you reach X% buff, which means one is better than the other. (But that shouldn't be hard to guess)
  11. It gives you more points man, you should be happy, not angry
  12. Who am I to have hope in the community after all this time :^)
  13. To change a bit from the negativity in here, wanted to propose something lighter on the forum. Principle is simple : Someone posts a screenshot of a location. Whoever finds where this screenshot (not just the region name, but with a mark on the map) was taken wins and must in turn post a screenshot of a location. If he doesn't want to do it, anyone can take the initiative. Press F12 ingame to hide the map I'll begin :
  14. Just sharing mine, I'm curious to see yours and if you have any reasoning for it. Ranger : I finally got all my stigmas on the ranger and god it's hard to decide where to put stuff. I'm bad at spreading my fingers across the keyboard, so I usually put everything I may need in emergency on 1-5 and use ctrl/alt for skillbar 2 and 3. But rangers with heart shot and gale arrow have 9 dmg spells, of which 3 are CC, 4 have high dmg potential and 3 have very short cd (it seems stupid to put smthg spammable away from my fingers). They also have 4 useful traps, 2 to 4 offensive buffs depending on the situation and 5 skils that are useful to disengage. And then you have pots... All of these should be easy to access in PvP and I just can't find a configuration where I'm happy. So this is what it gives. Spammable arrows with no instant cast time on 1-2-3, filler arrows on 4-5 and then other arrows by order of usefulness. Traps usually means you have time (but not to much), so I put them in an easy area to click on. Offensive buffs on 2nd line, defensive stuff on 3rd (with remaped antishock+healing pot) and reflex-light skills on the last skillbar. Sm : Very easy to do until 2.0. Fire element was the best to use. Mixed build for pvp/pve (not very good at either, but not very bad either) 1 line are the 5 dmg skills + easy to access root. I remaped the end of the line for defensive stuffs. 2nd line is a combo of "press 1-2-3" for lot of instant dps along with 3 fear 3rd line are dispells and CC that are not fear (silence or body root should sit here) last line are the pet skills that deal dmg. Chanter : The easiest one for me. DPS + spamed group spells on the first bar Heals on 2nd line "Oh shit" spells on 3rd lines, along with long duration buffs Mantra on last line Can't wait for you to tell me how wrong I am But share yours too plz
  15. Bump, many of us are sitting with reset scrolls that were sold in the Quna shop up until the day before 2.0 and are stuck with useless scrolls. Please @Rin, get this information to the people who decide (and communicate!)
  16. I have several of these scrolls saved up on my char and I wanted to be lvl 55 before using them for maximum efficiency. It turns out Krotan/Kysis/Miren now require an item you get from a weekly quest to enter, rendering said scrolls useless. @RinIs there anything planned to fix this and make this scrolls we bought useful again, or is it another middle finger by NCSoft in the face of the players?
  17. There is only 1 way to do it on each side. Is it really too hard to say yes or no rather than giving a false sense of hope/guilt?
  18. Spells have their own lvl. You may have noticed when you level up that the chat is filled with "Spell X is now lvl 7". Your spells scale with your lvl, the maximum level is 9. The thing is Stone Skin IV lvl 9 is better than Stone Skin V you have when you're lvl 55 because it can't reach lvl 9 until you lvl up to 60. So no, it's not a typo, Stone Skin 4 is better than 5 as long as max lvl is 55
  19. This is a thread I created more to write my notes down somewhere than to ask a question. First, 2 situations : PVP and PVE. PvP situation : you need to land your shots fast, kill with one rotation (Two max if you get the sleep) and disapear. Which means you can't be blocked or parried, that you can't be resisted and that you must crit. It also means you probably won't want to weave. If you're the one caught, you still should be tanking a minimum to remove shock, pot and turn back. Importance of stats in PvP : Crit ++. You want to reach ~500 for 50% crit (if the formula didn't change) and take into account strike resist, so 650-700 with all your buffs. Accuracy ++. You want to bypass the cleric with 2300 block or the chanter/glad with natural high parry. Magic Accuracy +. You want your CC to not be resisted. Silence/Sleep/Root. You won't be able to get 100% on full MR people but you should be able to get 100% against plate and leather Base attack ++ (Weapon dmg + enchant bonus + merge bonus). Also called "white attack" in the character profile. It's multiplied by everybuff/crit. Green attack - (Manastones, "attack +x" lines below stuff, food). Different sources give different results, but what's sure about it is that it isn't multiplied by your buff/crit so it's really not that important Magic resistance -- Your base MR is low compared to cloth and chain, trying to compensate with manastones will barealy change the outcome. It's not worth socketing HP +. A minimum of 8k HP with food seems enough to be given the time to react. % PVP attack ++. 10% dmg is nothing to laugh at PvE situation : You will weave, on normal mobs and on bosses. Crit is a must for your DPS on bosses and to knock down normal mobs. Accuracy for hardest bosses has to be high but is reachable without manastones with a good weapon and since we're looking at BiS, it's not a factor in PvE. MAcc on bosses is not really a factor since you can't silence/sleep them. On mobs, it's barely resisted even with an average bow. You want some HP to tank the damage that you can't evade to avoid the one shot or be able to survive to extra pulls when solo. Importance of stats in PvE : Crit ++. Strike resist exists but lower that in PvP. Accuracy +-. The better bows + your buff are enough even on stormwing/omega/ragnarok Magic Accuracy +-. Even the average bow lands silence every time. Only sleep arrow and its macc malus doesn't work every time. White attack ++. Same than in PvP. Most important stat to deal dmg Green attack +. While you weave a lot less than dual wielding classes, it's still a nice DPS boost in the long run. Magic res --. Not needed in the sense socketing it won't change anything HP +. 8k with food is the norm. I remove from the list all bows which don't seem obtainable even though they are technically available : Mastarius/Veille Padmarashka/Sematariux Some gold lvl 50 bows could be good as merge, if they can bring crit + accuracy and save some manastones slots. I only kept those which meet this condition: Balic bow (lvl 50) Anuhart bow Dragon's deity longbow Bollvig bow Elder bow Which gives a list of the following bows to consider : Stormwing longbow Vorpal bow AP Elite 55 bow AP 55 bow Carved master bow Debilkarim bow Tahabata bow Latzio's bow Pacification bow (dunno if it drops) Balic 55 orange and gold If you want to make your decision by yourself, here is a spreadsheet I made The PvP bow with 10.5% pvp attack can't be matched for a ranger as a merge. For the main weapon, you'll need the highest attack possible. I also wanted to take bonus stats into account. So what I did is count how many manastones would be needed to get as much stats as the bow. I made 2 versions of this, one where everything is counted and one where I discard HP and the extra lukcy manastone slot. The conclusion is for main weapon : any orange crafted 55 >> balic gold 55 > stormwing > Taha >> Vorpal > Noble Latzio > pacification > balic 50 > Debilkarim The merge for PvE, since you don't need to take the %pvp attack, the insane bonuses of Tahabata's longbow makes it a very viable choice : Taha=OrangeBalic55 > Master Carved = GoldBalic55 > Stormwing = Bolvig = Dragon's deity > The rest If you have the choice for the merge, always chose the bow with the highest base attack. It's minor, but 10% of their attack will be added to your base attack. So between taha and OrangeBalic55, the difference would be +28 or +30, which is why it isn't stupid to consider lvl 50 bows as merge. Best in slot for PvP : Master Carved + Elite PvP 55 Best in slot for PvE: Master carved + Orange balic 55 Best for low price : Taha + bolvig Hope it can help some people
  20. This is the key you need for flarestorm, the quests are shown below https://aioncodex.com/us/item/185000091/ For asmo, talk to Yumir. For elyos, talk to Teressa Edit : you actuallly need a quest for stormwing. Everything is detailed here : https://guidescroll.com/2011/09/aion-online-beshmundir-temple-guide/
  21. IIRC, master designs are acquired as a reward for becoming master and carved master design are sold by a shugo south of the fort in ingi.gelk
