If you log into the Aion website now and then go to Account > Apply Code, you should be able to apply your Vandal Gear Pack code to your account. From there, you will receive in-game express mail to accept it. Do not accept it on a toon that doesn't wear cloth! They are skin pieces (not stat-armor), but they are only wearable by cloth. They're not "clothing" items, if that makes sense. So you cannot use them to skin onto a character that wears plate/leather/chain. Only the hat is skinnable by other toons.

The pieces are NOT tradeable/brokerable, but they ARE account warehouse storable. So if you messed up, you can put them in your account warehouse.

EDIT: Never mind, they cannot be stored in the account warehouse either. gg.

Furthermore, if you do not like the skin, just don't take it. It can't be vendor/sold and it cannot be destroyed out of your inventory.

Having some spare max-levelled Bs to combine to obtain them, if and when they're added, sure wouldn't hurt.

Really good advice, thanks. I'm only missing Sheba and don't really care about her since her XP skill is the same as Kromede, so I think I'll just save my level 4 B ranks going forward.

@Cyan why is the emotion card swing dance not in bcm store instead of being as the reward for the shugo sweep haha why the emotion card not be in bcm instead that be so much better ;3? just wondering ;3

Even worse because it's not brokerable. So if someone gets it in the event and doesn't want it, they can't even sell it.

If you take a look at what can be in the Gold Card, you will understand why this event is going to make money hand over fist. The level of pay2win is over 9k.

And we can start to see what kind of money we are talking about, too, since The Dirty Bird dropped $100 and didn't even get a single gold card.

In my opinion, I don't see a lot of people paying a lot for this event -- not more than $100 for the multi-pack like I did. The things in the Golden card are nice, BUT you only get one of those rewards, and it's random which one you get. I think most people would realize that you aren't guaranteed a Golden card from that $100 and probably won't spend more than that. So, people won't be getting multiple Golden cards and won't be "winning" much of anything.

I don't know, I guess there are people out there who *can* drop thousands of dollars on this event, but I think most people *would not* because it's too much of a gamble. Usually, the thousand-dollar-spenders will wait until we have an event that is guaranteed -- like the Shugo Emperor event with the selectable legendary xform.

  5. Who knows what we'll see after this emergency maintenance, buuuuuuuttttt...

I have never been one to spend a lot of money on Aion events, but I have disposable income currently, so figured I'd spend $100 on this event so you don't have to. :) I tried to be objective in my "useful vs not useful" ratings -- returning players may find things useful that veteran players think are rubbish. I am saving my last several dice to see what free board I get next Wednesday. I am missing the Jack card to combine for the Golden card, so I'll see if that's on there. Based on my findings below, I probably will not spend anymore money to get a board with the Jack card. A legionmate opened his Golden card and only received 50 mil kinah. So it's probably not worth it to keep buying just for that Golden card.

    - Brokerable legendary enchantment stones, both pvp and pve, are fairly common
    - Fighting spirit fragments somewhat common on the boards
    - The 20% HP potions that we never received before are fairly common
    - Stigma enchantment stones are fairly common if you're collecting in hopes of getting the +9 safe spot event
    - Stellium very common
    - If you're hurting for transparent scrolls (doubtful with the concurrent Alchemist event), there are tons on these boards
    - Lots of "utility" items; probably not useful for veteran players, but could be useful for returning players

    - $$$ obviously! :x
    - No legendary transform contract
    - The ultimate pvp enchantment stone is rare (only 1 on my 6 boards) and is not brokerable
    - The manastones are not brokerable, so if you get ones that aren't good for your class, all you can do is aether-disenchant them
    - The stigma boxes are not brokerable, so all you can do is open them and then sell a stigma out of them
    - Only one new skin on the boards from what I could tell

If you are a geared/veteran player, I wouldn't recommend paying for this event. It's going to be more of the same items of which you probably already have a lot. If you are a returning player and/or you just have money to burn, this event might be worth spending a little money.

But hey, maybe I'll get all my money back after the emergency maintenance. :D

Wow, i should print your answer and stick behind my pc....

Haha definitely don't! There are undoubtedly some chanters out there who would see my response and be like, "Wow I hate that!" Like I said, you will have to develop your own play style. :)

About the stigmas, it have been a long time since i last tried Blessing of Wind and Numbling blow. My mistake.... I have no idea how it has changed.

I'm trying to get my daevanions. For now i have cleansing recovery spell, wich is pretty good, both of inescabapable judgement and other random Chained Crush chains.

Yeah totally, the skills have changed a lot! You might just set aside some time to really read every skill description.

Cleansing Spell is really good when you're by yourself. I, personally, don't find it useful in a group setting. However, those Daevanion skills are RNG, unfortunately. You can't control what you get out of the box! :( Overwhelming Judgment is a VERY good Daevanion skill. Chaos Smash is also excellent. Here are the Daevanion skills I like to use.

I use this probably 90% of the time as I am usually in a group. Note, I rarely use Roaring Judgment because all of my friends have legendary transforms so they don't really need it and it would decrease my dps. However, Roaring Judgment is useful in pve for lesser-geared groups.

This is what I use when I am by myself in pvp (which rarely happens because I don't like playing by myself lol):

My last question (i'm sure i know the answer): is there a specific set for specific role or can i just retune until i get what i want?

Yep, the latter! You just retune (with kinah) to get the stats you want. Every class can retune to the same thing. For example, a gladiator can retune to healing boost -- not that they would, of course lol. So you'll just have to keep retuning until you get the stats you want.

Before 7.0 red and purple stones barely ever failed

    Damn you're lucky.

Kind of annoying that it happens and the socketing of red or purple doesn't seem to be any better than any other stone in my opinion.

100% agree. It feels so much worse to watch an ultimate stone fail compared to an ancient stone. :(

  8. Chanter is a very versatile class and, as such, there are many ways to play it. The info I will give you below is just my opinion. It's not necessarily what's right for you or another chanter! Hopefully some other chanters will also give you their own advice and you can develop your own play style. :)

    - Desired stats for pve ;

I'm just running FM, 'cause i don't want to mess up any run.

My pve dps and healing sets are pictured below. Stats are buffed with Instigation and food/xform, but no 4k dp buff or Blessing of Wind on the dps set and no heal boost buffs on the support set. The dps set is endgame gear as it is all red and 3 of the pieces are the new red gear; the heal boost set is mid-level gear. I mention that because if you are just focusing on FM right now, you won't have this gear yet, and that's okay! Just work on getting your purple pieces. Once you are mostly purple with just 2-3 golds, you can start running PF to try to get some red pieces. Once you have your red pieces from PF, you can start to do Stellin Lab easy mode to get the other red pieces. ** Note, if you have geared friends to carry you, you can do that stuff sooner. *** Second note, I only talked about pve gear since you were talking about pve, not pvp.

    - Stigmas for pve;

What is the fast / best way to enchant 'em?

I'm using Mountain Crush, Blessing of Stone, Healing Burst, Splash Swing / Word of Inspiration,  Annihilation in most of the situation.

Use duplicate stigmas to enchant to +4. From that point on, I recommend using the Stigma Enchantment Stones so that you don't break your stigma back to +0. I would recommend you take a closer look at Leaping Flash. It didn't use to be super useful because it was a charge skill. Now, it is almost insta-cast and it has a shorter cd. It's a guaranteed knockdown that hits a decent amount of damage, and it is now viable in pvp too since it's a very fast cast. I also highly recommend you take another look at Blessing of Wind. It is an extremely op skill that will boost your dps a lot.

Here are the stigmas I use:

I use this set-up any time I am in a group. The vision, Word of Instigation, is very op for all physical classes. I highly recommend using this set-up when you're with a group because you will boost everyone's dps a lot. The only exception is if you're in a class full of magics. Magic classes do not benefit from Word of Instigation.

I use this set-up when I am by myself:

Sometimes I will use this set-up if I don't need to be boosting group dps, but still need to have a 20k heal (Healing Burst) on hand just in case. Or I might put something else in place of Mountain Crash, just depending on the situation. I will always use Blessing of Wind in any situation that I can though, if I don't have to be Instigation spec.

    - Chanter Role ;

What do people expect from chanter nowdays?

It have been confusing. They announce on LFG "need heals, dps and chanter" and i don't apply 'cause i don't know what i'm supposed to do.

In my opinion, a chanter is a jack of all trades. I won't take a heal-only chanter or a dps-only chanter in a group if I'm on another toon. It is my belief (again, others will have other opinions) that a chanter should be able to dps, shield, buff, and heal. That's how the class was designed. If you have a cleric, great, you should absolutely be dpsing (and buffing). However, if the cleric disconnects or dies or whatever, you should be ready to start healing immediately. You should be able to discern when your group needs to be shielded, when clerics need to be helped, etc. Chanter requires a lot of spatial awareness. You have to be the kind of person who notices a lot. All of that said, again, this is only my opinion! You should absolutely play the class in whatever way you feel most comfortable. This is a game after all, and games should be fun. :)

As a note though, you won't be able to main heal endgame instances without a heal boost set and proper support stigmas. So if that is something you think you might want to do, I'd recommend getting some heal boost accessories and your missing heal stigmas -- Elemental Screen and Word of Life. Also, you will need the Daevanion skill called Rejuvenating Spell (get from weekly Aetherforging craft/events/GoldSandTraders/shugo in instances). It looks like/does this:

  9. I don't think they'll do anything except turn off kicks in Evergale and I don't really care. Let them keep their shit, whatever, it's just one more thing in this game -- and at this point, if we're still putting up with the crap in this game, we're in it until it shuts down regardless lmao.

You're assuming a lot of things, Healing.

I know plenty of people (myself included) who have limited time to play and just want to get their runs done.. win or lose.

Exactly. Boyfriend and I both ended up with extra runs yesterday from being kicked against our will and we didn't use them. Not everyone wants to be doing this cancerous Forevergale shit all day. It's god awful.

  11. Oh my god this Forevergale shit is just UGH. Like I don't even want to do Evergale at all because it stresses me out with the constant kicks. I don't want to feel like I have to do that shit all day. Please just let me lose in peace lmao.

  12. Necroing this old thread because I've been farming skins from old instances and have a bit of additional input.

    • Fire temple / Indratu Fortress / Draupnir Cave / Taloc / Esoterrace - Malefic skin
    • Esoterrace - Abyssal and Yamenes weapons skins (!!!)

So what I've found is that the Abyssal skins in Esoterrace cannot be farmed. The reason is that they are inside ancient/legendary armor/weapon boxes.*** When you bring in another toon, you can loot everything else on the boss EXCEPT those boxes. I ran across the same issue with legendary armor drops in Fire Temple; they could not be looted except by the toon that actually killed the boss. The white armor drops (Malefic skins) CAN be farmed as they are not inside ancient/legendary boxes. My skin farming toon is only level 45 currently, so I haven't gotten to the higher level old instances yet, but I expect it will be the same -- if the skin/gear is in an ancient/legendary box, it won't be farmable; only white drops.

Also a bit of how-to if anyone is unsure how to farm on lower level toons and then pass to your level 80 toons:

    • You will need two toons in the group: a level 1 on a separate account and a level 37/45/whatever on your main account. Your level 1 toon should be in the group the entire time, regardless of how much switching you do for other toons to loot.
    • Your level 1 toon can just sit at Ishalgen or wherever. Bring your level 37 (or whatever) toon inside the instance by itself (while in group with the level 1) and kill mobs/beat the instance.
    • Note: If white skins drop on the regular mobs, go to character screen with your level 37 toon -- DO NOT LEAVE GROUP -- and switch to your main. The regular mob loot despawns within 2-3 minutes, so you must be very fast on those. Loot it on your main and then go back to character screen and switch back to your level 37 toon. Continue the instance.
    • After you kill the final boss in the instance, you will probably have a 15-minute wait period before you can loot on another toon -- at least, that's how it is in Fire Temple and Esoterrace. So kill the boss and then go to character screen -- again, DO NOT LEAVE GROUP -- and switch to your main. Bring your main inside the instance (the level 1 should still be chilling in group with you) and wait by the boss until it becomes lootable.

The drop rate isn't too bad, at least in Fire Temple and Esoterrace. You get white armor drops on mobs maybe 10% of the time and then you get at least one white armor drop on the final boss, plus the possibility of the ancient/legendary box (again, not lootable by any toon except the one who was in the instance.)

*** If anyone has managed to successfully pass these ancient/legendary BOXES to other toons, let me know how!
