What is Awakening Solution?

 I got a level 4 S-minion, ready to awaken. The Awakening window says I need Awakening Solution. I've never seen such item, what is it, how do I get it?

You need another grade S minion to awaken it, the second one gets destroyed to open the extra slot, and then you need a third grade S level 4 to put in the slot and make it grade Ss.

Really??? The window writes, "Minions required: 0/1" !!!

To make the minion shine, do I need to awaken it? I just want it!

I saw this video, it's from the Russian server 3 years ago. Do players on NA have this many S-minions?? I read on this forum, they don't!

 

Well I am an old player so I have made like 20. 16 are on the list, 2 of them are already awakened so that means I "consumed" 2 golden minion to do that and I also placed 2x golden ones make the SS to the awakened ones.

I have a ton of A-rank all maxed level, the problem is you cannot get a-rank minion contracts anymore to be able to combine and hope to get s-rank. If you combine 4x a-ranks you have a very big chance to get an s-rank now. We also had events in the past. There was a time that you wouldget on a-rank minion contract every week on Apsaranta, but they removed this quest.

Apsaranta... What quest? Apsaranta has been strange to me, difficult, not quite understandable... Legion quests? Possible to only do while our faction (Asmodian) is owning an operational site? How are they captured, by a group, alliance? I'm not into pvp since patches 6.x, cause Elyos are more than Asmodians, and especially worse it became when NCSoft removed all pvp instances  like Dredgion, Idgel Dome, I loved them, especially on 4.x and 5,x patches.  Legion renown - 4 different renown kinds and no store where I could use any of this renown to buy  some useful stuff (Like Gelkmaros, Demaha, Katalam, Lakrum, Ingisson etc stores). What's the use of Apsaranta legions' renown? Only the ability to teleport to them?  The loot is bad in Apsaranta - nothing but 3 plants/materials from which it's possible to craft Apsaranta teleport scrolls - boring. (is there anything better to craft from them?) Gelkmaros, Demaha, Katalam give much more interesting loot. So I mostly play in them. I have many toons  and got my minions from events, so they're not so many. 

So, If I want to awaken a 4-rank S-minion, I need to sacrifice another S-minion, must it be without any upgrade and evolution? But if I collect 4 A-minions rank 4 and combine them, it sometimes gives an S-minion with upgrade and evolution, then what to do with it? To ask Aion support to restore my A-minions?

Why are all your S-minions maxed to rank 4? Did you evolve them or that was a quest? Can you use this many S-minions  rank 4 of same types?

There used to be a quest but they removed it. So there is no more way to get any a-rank minions anymore. And since it is nearly impossible to get b-rank as well to try to combine and get them I am not sure how anyone can get a ranks now and eventually an s-rank.

To awaken one S-minion yes you need to sacrifice another s-rank minion and it will be lost and there will be a slot on the awakened minion to be able to add another minion of any rank/type (SS though is always better). To do 4 S-minions awakened you need to sacrifice 4 S-rank minions.

When you put a second minion on the slot of an awakened minion that one is not lost, it sits there and it can be removed (much like a runestone) and be placed back into your minion window. The awakened minion will have the slot empty again and you will be able to put another minion of your choice.

Thanks, but I still have the question: If I have a level 4 S-minion and want to awaken it sacrificing 1 S-minion, can I use one that has some upgrade and evolution? As I see on that video from the Russian server, in the list of "Awakening material" those (upgraded) minions are grayed, is it correct? Nowadays, if we summon any unupgraded minion and begin to get Exp, it upgrades and we can't prevent it, right? Just never use in battle. Also, when we combine 4 a-minions we sometimes get an S-minion with evolution. Then what can I do if I want an S-minion as material but both of my S-minions are evolved? Is there any way to remove evolution and upgrade? To apply to Aion Support, can we ask to remove the evolution or they only can revert the combining operation and restore my 4 A-minions?

You talk about visiting Minion Vault many times, using Luna, or every day like it was before, as if you imply that everyone has a plenty of  of unevolved minions, how could one  have a plenty? The minions appeared long before Asparanta, with max level 80, before Exp marks appeared (the above video shows it) or even on the patch 5.8. (BTW EXP marks can buy 300 A-minium per week easily, more than Minium Vault gives).  I only remember, minions used to come  with events.  Were there quests to get them , many and unevolved? Nowadays, events mostly give A-minions evolution level 4, they don't need any A-minium. I only have extra unevolved minions on old toons, newer toons only got unevolved ones from Kerub.  I guess from your minion list that the quest in Apsaranta you did would give level 4 minions, right? You only have levels 4 in your list.

Upper Crucible to get minions - oh, it's hard, I once tried, spent 30-50 min killing mobs, then new mobs appeared harder and harder, I eventually got bored, stopped and got 0 reward. I hate such instances. I think, any long and hard work, even incomplete,  must give some reward. A good example was the recent Shugo Emperor's Vault event where you could get ranks C, B, A, S giving same rewards in different amounts. This way, playing it every day with Rank B, sometimes C, with some luck,  I  could buy 2 A-minions or a minion+weapon during the event period.

You can use a level 1 to level 4 S-rank minion ass sacrifice, the fact it is grayed means nothing, it is there only to let you know you are using an upgraded minion in case you accidentally selected one instead of a level 1.

If you combine s-rank minions you get back a random s-rank minion and the amount you combine affects the chances to get a leveled one as well. In the below images I tried to see the chances of combining 2x s-rank mkinion and 4x s-rank minions, as you see the chance to get a level 4 s-rank minion is 10 times higher when combining 4x instead of 2x

In Minium Vault if you select the center npc which transfers you to a ranom path, at the end of the instance you are given +1 extra chest (total 4) the 3 first boxes give miniums and the 4th extra gives you a minion chest, 99% of the time it will give you C-rank minions which are useless, but ther eis a chance to give you a level 1 a-rank minion.

Most of my a-minions were acquired from apsaranta when I could get a level 1 a-rank minion. I upgraded them myself from minium I had from Minium Vault (I had a lot from the days that Minium Vault was a daily), but also crucible Spire upper gives a lot of a-minium and if you finish it on time like I do you get the extra chest that gives s-rank minium as well.

If you want to revert back a minion combination you have to do it within 7 days of the moment you combined, you use 1 token of restoration (you have 3 tokens per 6 months that expire within the 6 months if not used).

Still the question remains, why would you want to combine several level 4 S-minions at all? You spend several and get only 1 mostly of a lower level. To get a minion of type you don't have? You don't have Modor in your list, do you want to get it? Did you try?

Of course you do not combine 4x S-minions because the only difference it would make is to have a slightly higher chance to get it at a higher stage instead of the base stage. When you combine 2x the chance to get a stage-4 S-minion is 0,05% when you combine 4x it is 0,5%... that is ten times higher but still a super low chance to even bother.

If you ever combine S-rank minions is exclusively hoping to get a different type that matches your char's needs. Therefore you combine 2x and in this case you save the rest for more combines if you need.

True, when they included chances I realized how much they thought us as idiots for so long, some chances are so low they are almost 0.
