Guest ConfusedTaco
I a trying to decide between the listed as a semi-casual player. Interested in all of the different pieces of the game. Any insight is welcome. Will it be harder to get groups as any of them, easier, etc. also, semi-casual one of those looking for an asmo guild on Siel. Mempo-KT
Ranger has the highest skill cap and lowest skill floor. Assassins require high game knowledge and low ping. Chanters are amazing and always a delight to have around. Templars require really good gear to start getting good.
Guest Saitamasensei
Ranger - Short Burst, Lucky Crits = kill, No Crits = reload Assassin - Hit and Run, Stun = Burst to Kill Chanter - Heal to Kill, Timed Stun to counter cast Templars - Defense is Good Offense
Guest Reign
As a Templar, without a pocket healer and dps, leveling is MISERABLE. Elites are best xp, but you always need help. Dungeons at 30 suck for xp. You need elites again. With more people to help you again.

I'm lvl 46 (templar) and so far I level up solo just fine (and most importantly I'm having a lot of fun with this class!). I often use herb treatment for heal (after the fight) which is enough, and sometimes I might use some hp potions (but only when I'm rushing or fighting very hard mobs) . That said, I'm doing instances/groups but mainly because of campaign quests or for hunting good drops. Apart from campaigns, regular solo quests also give very good and easy/fast xp. Of course, it all depends on how you play the templar. If you play with shield and sword only (and with hp or block manastones), then yes, leveling (or even playing in my opinion) is miserable. Equip a greatsword (and learn how to play it effectively so u can stumble the enemy), stack up your gear with critical manastones (and some accurancy) and you will see the mobs die before they do any damage. If you also learn how to change during the fight your weapon (from greatsword to shield and vice versa) you will see a huge boost to your damage.
