Client crashes (send log) on using portal at landing

Recommended Posts

This issue happened several maintenances ago, and can be reproduced again. If the portal is used to tranfer between the interior region of the Elyos upper abyss area (Redemption Landing)  to the exterior, or vice versa, the client crashes. Once the client is relaunched, the issue can be reproduced. Doing a file repair does not fix the issue.

The issue log refers to the CryEngine dll.

My client crashes at Redemption Landing more often then everywhere else in Aion combined.

I have bound at Redemption Landing. When I use Return to go back to the landing, I worry, "Please don't crash."

It sounds as if your client crashes as we go through the gate. Every time I go through the gate, I am scared that the client may crash.

Possible Work Around:

  • Stand next to the gate and wait about 20-30 seconds before going through the gate.
  • I crash more often if I rush through the gate.
  • Do not move until after the transfer through the gate has finished.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try them next time as it's very discouraging to lose so much time , and the area wasn't even especially congested at the time..

Yep, if I'm holding down W key to run right away when going through the door, I crash every time. If I wait a few seconds as I port through THEN walk, it's fine.
Annoying! zzz
