First of all, there is an uncertainty to every measure. Second of all, Einstein told us that if you are moving too fast, distances get smaller, and time stretches. If you are a aerospacial engineer  and your plain falls, what you get is a bunch of lawyers screaming at you, and its no use to come to forum saying "i project this to work on 10m, why it didnt work on 8 ?"
