Snowball event ending before original announcement

Let's discuss this quick change that was done.

So originally when this event was announced on "news" The dates was December 7th til January 4th, and all items would be deleted January 11th. 

Now the post reads that the event will go December 7th to December 28th?  and all items will be deleted on January 11th

Before on forums post from December 6th it didn't have any mention of end dates just that events were starting, but now it is saying that BOTH Frozen Magic Promotion & Apsaranta Winter Meal Kit Event will run from December 7 – December 28.  Which wasn't there in the beginning, and the "Apsaranta Winter Meal Kit STILL has the original dates of December 7th to January 4th on it.

Has it really come to where have to screenshot EVERYTHING this company posts because they will simply try and sneak a date change in without notice?  People was happy with this event ending January 4th, but the quick change of dates has everyone angry, even if it was a typo on NCWEST part it should be honored.  Isn't the players fault that wrong dates were announced.

This is a good event where everyone wants to take full advantage of farming the snowballs for the chances at getting the rewards, so give them the chance to be able to do it.

We are asking that you revert the dates back to the original date announced which was January 4th.

Please do the right thing and fix this.

You would think ncsoft would learn from their mistake after the Sacred relic date issues just 2 months ago. They are doing the exact same thing stealth change the dates without informing their player base.

If you release news saying a certain date end date you honor it. You don't go and  stealth change it

Respectfully... what the nyerk ? Please keep the event at it's original end date. Do I stay logged in the game to obtain snowballs 24/7 ? No. But do other players who have way more patience than I do who really want to enjoy the game without paying 1/5th of their check ? Yes and they should be able to continue doing so in accordance with the initial end date of the snow ball event. It's not professional or nice in general to ninja edit events like this. Let's also take into consideration that what may seem like pocket change in one countries economy may be the contrary in another. Let's try to maintain some morals.

I will second what everyone else has said.  Please keep the event as was originally listed.  We already struggle with so many other issues in game.  It would be nice to let this event roll as originally posted.

 

Also, thanks Trinity for pointing this out.  I do not usually check the event posts after their original posting, so would never have known about this until it abruptly stopped.

Even worse during the next Wednesday there will be no changes or announcements. So if they end the event this week we will be left without a good event during the first week of the year.

Snow and snowbalsl and snowmen are directly attached to eh Christmas and New Year celebration, the event cannot end before the New Year.

End of the day, NCWEST has been failing the player base for quite some time not listening to the needs of the community and when we finally do get an event, they "make mistakes on dates" so they just speed change them like its no big deal.....we need this event so we can get the things in game that we actually need.   They need to revert the dates back to what they were before the random change of dates.. December 7th to January 4th should be the duration of event, i mean yall arnt even gonna be in office next week for maintenance but your gonna end snowballs early?  Fix the madness and put it back to January 4th so people have a reason to play aion

This event is a good chance for free to play  players to catch up and for all of us to have a shot at the new ultimates, so I don't really understand why mess with the date initially given to us. Please revert it back to what was initially posted as 4th of January, we all look forward to this event every year and you guys are cutting it short.

SHOCKERRRRR 12/25 promised a reward survey, and guess what we got the shaft yet again, just do the right thing and put the dates back and save some face and let your players farm and have something to do

 

Just a suggestion, test things before announcing that they are added,  i mean its just like siege, yall said that was fixed? and guess what still a mess, and we have been in 8.4 for how long?  it's been months.   another example Luna, been a problem since yall removed the bag from game and didn't put it back in contaminated underpass like every other version of aion but have yet to offer any real solutions, how do you expect players to have faith in game when they are failing at the BASIC fundamentals of the game?

So how about you start off by extending the snowball event so we can farm that while you all figure out how to fix things sounds like a fair trade to me,   atleast to the original release dates of December 7th to January 4th.   Absolutely way too many vices and currency issues in this game for it to grow any,   new player literally cannot catch up to even compete in the game.  Transformations,  item collections, armors ,  runes,  gems, enchants, luna, AP,  EXP,  manastones, minions, minium,  and so many more,  nothing of which is easy and you sit there and wonder why you cant get any new players in this game?  THERES UR ANSWER GREEEEEEEEEED.....You all give us 3 restore tokens a in a 6month period that we can pratically use for almost nothing anymore.....  i feel horrible for this folks for farming zikel and nezekan and getting the SAME ONE OVER N OVER N OVER and physically no way to reroll in game, and they will not restore the items to try again, what logical sense does that make?  Then when u finally do put it back on the store its 250$ PER TRY that could reroll right back to the same transformation?????  Not to mention all the other transformations that have been under lock and key for over a year.... all the HP collections year n change later still nothing about them being re put in the game......these things need to be more available to the player base....enough of my rant

 

Simply put revert the days back and test things before adding and saying they are "fixed"

People who are crying over snowball event ending 'earlier' are mostly botters or people with many accounts and cheats with vanilla auto botting for snowball event to collect everyday. 

This kind of event that benefit people with alot of accounts and characters are mostly benefiting the BOTTERS. Just end it already, its not giving us legit players anything good anyways . Ban the botters and cheaters. Shouldn't even had lifted those people who were banned during the banwave the last time. Most of them were ACTUAL botters and cheaters.

~~Every time NCWest tried to combat bots, they ended up hurting actual players more. That is the case with luna pouch, broker fees, untradeability of everything etc.

So lets kill every good event that can highly benefit actual players because botters can take more advantage of it, right? The game outside events is impossible to play or gain necessary items. When the game becomes too hard it becomes much harder for actual players, botters benefit from a hard game because they become the sole providers of items and kinah, if there is a limit they can bypass the limit by having multiple accounts.

If you can get 1 drop from an instance, a botter can get 100x that, so lets remove instances too. Renown NPCs sell limited items with XP marks... someone with multiple characters can get multiples of that limited item, so lets remove the renown system too. What.... you can get items by doing instances and then sell them for kinah... what about a botter with 100 characters, he can get 100 items and sell them for 100x the profit, lets remove the instances too. There is a weekly limit of 450m sales per week per account, a person with 2x accounts can sell double that, lets not allow anyone to sell anything anymore, so a botter can't take advantage of it.

~~In the end having an additional account is not against the rules, you should invest in leveling a second account and take advantage of such events yourself in the future. You do not need to hack for this event, just log a char, get the 2x snowballs and log the next one! This event would even help you level alts because you can get giant berdin stars with wintry coins and use them to help the leveling process.
